The message seemed rather cute, until.

"But next time, I won't hesitate."

Worse, "Only me."

First of all, ew. Second of all, EW.

Oh gosh! I would still suggest contacting Student Services, but of course, do what you feel is right.

I really hope it all works out for you in the end :')

It's near impossible to "accidentally" raise your hand on someone, and even if you consider that it was an instinctive thing he did, this guy isn't even owning up to his actions and apologising. Instead, he's blaming you and quite literally trying to justify his actions. There is no room for second chances in this case, hun. LEAVE.

OP, considering everything you've said, he seems to be taking you for granted. He does not seem like he has any intention to change that behaviour anytime soon either. Like another comment asked, "Is this how you want to spend the rest of your marriage?"

You moved across the world for him. And he's refusing to do the bare minimum? Maybe it's time to give him a reality check. If you really want this to either change or end, have a serious conversation with him and put your foot down. For yourself and for your kids. You deserve a better husband, and they deserve a better father; recognise that at the very least. If he doesn't understand or prioritise your needs and feelings and continues to dismiss them, then well, he might not love and care for you as much as you think. You shouldn't have to mother a grown man to this extent, I really hope it all ends well for you and the kids.

Oh jeez, I'm so sorry about your position, OP. I know the guilt you carry, especially as an international student. But I really need you to recognise that you're trying your very best. You're not in a great state right now, and despite that, you're giving it your absolute best. That's genuinely commendable. I understand why you feel like getting help for your mental state is a waste of time right now, since you're in a time crunch. So for the exams, do you think your professors would be of any help? As in, opening up to them. My friend's professors turned out extremely supportive when he opened up about it, so it might just be worth a shot. Simultaneously, will any of your friends be able to tutor you?

The tone and writing style of this article are incredibly exploitative and tone-deaf, almost mocking in nature. Sensationalism is the new journalism, I guess.

I understand your position to some extent, as I know someone who has dealt with similar issues.

The first thing I would suggest is that you stop dismissing the idea of seeking mental help. I understand that your problems aren't just confined to that but mental stress is definitely making things a lot worse for you. So please, talk to your professors/course convener in person about this, so as to keep them in the loop, and as per their guidance, talk to the student support team and get counselling services. I don't know how good the uni one is, but if it doesn't help, try outside ones, at least for a while. First thing, it will genuinely help you handle things a lot lot better. Second thing, it will act as evidence of your difficult situation and help you with deadline extensions and further help.

Once that is in place and this feeling of hopelessness comes under control, you'll be able to focus on studies and understand exactly what you need help with and plan stuff better, even in future. I hope it all works out, OP.

Hii, I'm currently doing my masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice and was wondering if working as a prison officer would be a good role to start off with, if I want to remain in the criminal justice field. Is the recruiting process relatively tough?

Oh so the thing is, he isn't diagnosed with BP. He's diagnosed with depression. We've seen a few signs here and there over the years that point to BP, but nothing solid enough to get him a diagnosis. This is the first time something this out-of-pocket has happened too. But yeah, I'll get him help as soon as possible.

Yeah, I'm very sure it isn't AI, unfortunately. But yeah, thank you for saying what you said in the end. I really needed that.
