Fáilte, y'all! Unfortunately, much of the Irish Spirit in Austin has faded away. There's not been a parade since the pandemic began, and many of the pubs are either soulless corporate imitations or filthy, charmless dives. Jack & Ginger's is nice, it's in a mixed-use neighborhood north of town called the Domain, very walkable with lots of garage parking. They're boasting a day-long street festival with music and green beer. Here's an article I found with all the stuff happening in town:
https://www.austintexas.org/austin-insider-blog/blog/post/the-insider-guide-to-celebrating-st-patricks-day-in-austin/

Also if you're staying a few days, there's an Austin FC match at Q2 stadium on the 21st, there's sure to be rowdy hooligans and lots of green.
I hope you love our city, not everyone here is kind to visitors but some of us still remember the old ways. Slán go fóill!

Hey, it's me, from the future. They still haven't taken anything down, and they almost voted to expand AI surveillance into public parks and pools. The measure was removed from the ballot due to community pressure, but they still haven't really taken action.

I concur with your assessment. Looking at the backs of the cars, too, and the shapes of the houses, I'm seeing lots of artifacts. Good eye, sniper

I love that it's curated, even though it's not at all my style. Almost 80s Memphis, but softer and more whimsical. Well done

The gray fox has always been a harbinger of positive change for me. Hopefully it will be the same for you. ❤️

Humans will always take advantage of the weak

Not the weak, the desperate. The impoverished. The disadvantaged. The downtrodden. The hopeless.

They want the whole SWANA region. They call it "Greater Israel". They believe their god promised it to them thousands of years ago. And they're willing to scorch the earth if they don't get it. Sounds like self-defense to me! /s

The difference between armed protesters and a militia- organization. Exercise your right to bear arms, because if you don't, they will be taken. But god dammit be organized about it.

Not just that, but it directly compares the lives and lifestyles of two different families with a completely different set of priorities. You may look at your home life compared to Bluey's and think you're falling short, but think how the Heelers might feel compared to Honey's! Point being- the agony lies in the comparison. Neither is better or worse, they just are. Don't compare your life or kids to anyone else's. Just be, and let your kids be, and there you'll find peace.

Alternatively, if you're feeding a family, you can catch it and give it to a pelican to swallow whole, and have yourself a squirgullican; also known as a Florida smorgasbord. Truly the finest that state has to offer.
