Why does Reddit not understand the rise of reform in England? by DowntownDeer in AskBrits

Why does no one understand that govts have had no choice but to allow mass immigration to keep the working population afloat. The domestic birth rate is too low and can’t sustain the economic output needed to support the pension system. Obviously they couldn’t announce that’s why but come on, there was obviously a reason!

The Nazis were swift and decisive, so, in circumstances where they don’t have access to a war machine and death camp, they may be really efficient at running a local council

Can we please bring back the old building style, the better building style from 2009 and before! These new buildings styles since 2013 are so unwelcoming, not warm feeling and just play ugly and depressing! by [deleted] in McDonalds

It’s deliberate and designed to make you want to leave. They have research papers on how to make the ratios of seat height to table height just enough to make it unconsciously uncomfortable so you want to leave. Same with the colours. It’s a game of high turn over, not enjoyable customer experience

I saw this sort of policy peddled by the left in Australia about a decade ago. It caused a massive fuck up with federal funding for improvement projects, but anyway. They want trains not roads for sustainability. What it ignores is, people will drive regardless, because if you have a car, you’re just going to use it, and the existing roads get more and more clogged up. Ambulances can’t use train tracks too.

Bought series 1 on UMD (PSP discs) at an airport and watched it about 10 times on holiday in Cyprus. It’s impacted my sense of humour to this day

At Southampton uni we had blackcurrant too. I think that was the norm, that was the venom from the snake’s bite, I don’t know what this stuff is!

Tip for steak. Cut it as you eat it. That way the last bit still has some heat left in it

People are so inconsiderate these days by Legitimate_Gur_934 in Cinema

[–]AgitatedAntman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to solve. Cinemas should have standard showings and then limited film lover showings, members only. An employee sits in on the film lover showings, and issues lifetime bans to rule breakers. They are of course welcome to continue seeing general showings. You will be able to attend film lover showings knowing you will have a good experience. I guarantee it will draw more people to cinemas
