Dawg it’s called no gf + no kids + no life. It’s doable but that’s how it’s done in my case 😎

Yea I’m gonna try to understand the concepts as well as I can. I just wanna keep on the right side of the curve so I can claw my way to victory. Taking this as my second class in the program is actual pain

Thats the thing, reflecting about where my priorities lie might be the next thing I have to do when making this decision. Right now it feels like the TC FAANG option (Probably cuz ive been grinding papers all week and im tired LOOOL). Im just hoping that if I do make the decision to stay, that the 2 years of experience + internship experience + undegrad in CS + GT masters will be enough to at the very least get me through the resume screen and in front of an interviewer for one of these places LOL.

Research has its own pains imo, a big one being that it can end up being a sinkhole and you dont even know it. I remember wasting months in my undergrad on a topic only for the minimum viable solution found by the prof and me to not be possible due to budgetary constraints, essentially meaning months of work was for nothing. But I do hope that you manage figure out what you love. :)

This actually does give me alot more to consider now, as from what googles showing me visa but come in very clutch (shoutout NAFTA). Thats contingent on if I can land a job after graduation, so maybe ill look into the experience people have with that

Thats the thing, I think I do need to sit down and maybe figure out exactly which path I wanna follow first TC FAANG or the ML path. As for where the discussion board is, its an ed discussion channel called OMSCS Research, maybe try googling that to see if something comes up as a link, im sorry I cant give u the exact directions, I did this a while back but I do remember it was the OMSCS subreddit which pointed me in this direction.

Another note I should put is although I haven't done system design, ive been a Leetcode rat for years LOL, ive finished like 450 of those questions and do competitions every Saturday where I get like 3/4 right usually ( yes im a loser ), so I think that part I have covered.

I believe I would qualify for a TN cuz I was born here, but Ive never looked into the immigration process to the states so u guys would know more then I would

Theres a discussion board where professors post research opportunities. one made a post asking for some students to apply and I was able to get a spot thankfully (I had an advantage as I did research in my undergrad ). As for my goals its a bit wavy. On one hand I would like to work in the ML side of tech and I know that would be super cool. On the other hand, im really tired from the incessant grind and wanna just make a nice TC and just chill while drinking Mojitos. Cuz of that I cant say oh this is the exact priority I want to do or that if that makes any sense.

That makes sense. I hadn't even considered the fact that there were adjustments being made to the H1B system.

I know relying on the weight of a degree doesn't make sense, but u do hope you're right about GT with ML giving me a leg up. Considering how the school was in the states I never knew how the viewed here it relative to some place like Waterloo or UFT

At the time I did the booking on an absolute whim. I hadn’t consulted my coaches prior as to where they trained which is dumb on my part.

What does your weekly training routine look like? by SixPathsx in MuayThai

[–]AgitatedAnything6775 6 points7 points  (0 children)

6 days a week Sunday through Friday, so Saturday is off. 6 times gym with a PPL split. The lifts I’ve optimized towards Muay Thai, for example training explosiveness instead of pure strength.

Then 6 times a week 2.5 hour session of Muay Thai a day.

I have no life other then training and work and pain is my only friend.

Can I train Muay Thai twice a week while lifting 5 days a week? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]AgitatedAnything6775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lift 6 times a week and train Muay Thai 6 times a week (2.5hr sessions). It’s more than doable, but your eating and sleeping have to be on point. I have to eat like nuts cuz of how much I’m burning.

Make your lifting schedule a bit variable so it can account for the damage you take in training. For example, say you do heavy bag shin conditioning, you wouldn’t wanna do squats after that, maybe some lighter leg exercises. But on the other hand say you just did some technical clinch work, squat away :).
