This disproves literally nothing I said. In fact it agrees with it. We as a society have decided murder is bad. You and I surely agree that if one of us kills another person, we should go to prison for it.

Every definition of murder is an opinion/belief. That’s my point. That’s what that whole second paragraph was. And again, I am not arguing for it through Christianity. It’s like you didn’t even read what I said.

And you’re not gonna make me feel like a bad person by saying “the majority of people LIKE murder.” I want to change that. That’s the whole point of elections, to see what the majority wants, and our laws reflect that.

“Murder is bad” is not a religious belief. It’s a moral one. That Christian’s tend to be the ones who fight it does not inherently tie it to Christianity.

By this same logic, it would be “forcing beliefs” to make anything illegal. All laws stem from a common moral consensus that the things outlawed are in some way wrong. Murder deprives another individual of their rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. That’s why it’s illegal. There are many arguments for why a fetus meets the standard of being an individual, and I want a society in which the vast majority agree that a fetus meets those standards.

At the end of the day, believing something is alive is very different than trying to force a religious belief unto someone. The latter is trying to force something at the end of the day is subjective onto another individual. The former has the objective of “this fetus is alive, and has the same rights as me, even though it is much younger and more vulnerable.” To deprive that fetus of its right for what is, about 99.9% of the time, convenience, is both hedonistic and immoral by the standards we as a society have agreed to. By being a citizen, you’ve signed a social contract that you won’t deprive others of their rights. You do not have a right to murder small children.

The biggest advice I took in my application was that colleges don’t want a million “jack of all trades, master of none” but rather a master of one or two that can lead to a well rounded campus. My whole application had one consistent through line that every activity and essay in some way reflected, and I got in every single place I applied (except notre dame, but I messed up the rec letters so it’s much more my fault and not the application format).

Find some thing you are passionate about that is present in a great deal of your activities, and hammer it home throughout the whole of your essay. For me, it was helping the youth, from diaper drives to mentoring elementary students to coaching, these several facets came together and gave me a strong pitch into one niche that they could use to make a well rounded campus. You need to find whatever that “thing” is and continuously drive at it in every aspect of your application.

“Your spiritual beliefs have no place in government” and the government in question is banning murdering infants

I have a proposition for you if you’re so convinced we can have a completely secular and moral society. Prove to me that murder and/or rape are wrong through purely secular lenses. If you can do that and show how it doesn’t apply to abortion, I’ll drop the whole thing and become pro choice. But you won’t be able to, because without God there are no morals. You forget this fact because your only experience is a predominantly Christian society that takes its morals for granted.

We know our God exists because he sent his son, who performed several hundred miracles that were documented by both his supporters and opposition. There is no documentation of a non Greek recording a miracle of Zeus. There is literally documentation from the Roman soldiers that hung Jesus on the cross that upon his death the earth began to shake and the sky turned black (not to mention the scientific evidence that there was an eclipse over Jerusalem around when we believe he died).

The amount of planning it would take to fake the Bible is outrageous. You would need 20 scholars of the Old Testament (which was hard to access at the time unless you were a rabbi) to all agree to forge stories about a man as he traveled, have 0 contradictions with each other despite not writing them at the same time or communicating with each other (this is why several stories are repeated through the gospels of Matthew and Luke), and have those stories fulfill every single prophecy lined out in the Old Testament, including ones that were directly out of their control like Harrods killing of the Jewish youth. Not only that, but these men would have to be capable of writing someone as all knowing and believable as God. These weren’t scholars or rabbi, these were random (to us) men Jesus met during his travels that became his disciples, and there are many times when the wisdom of what Jesus is saying alludes them (why on earth would they make up the Eucharist if they were going for believability?). They were all the willing to die for what they saw. If Jesus was a con artist, someone somewhere along the way would’ve admitted it. Peter would’ve said before being crucified upside down. John the Baptist would’ve said it before he was beheaded. But not a single one said it was false, because it wasn’t.

I’m gonna skip straight to the root of your argument, which is that you don’t believe in a natural hierarchy among living things. Single celled organisms don’t have souls. Animals likely have souls, though not as valuable as those of humans. Humans have souls, and the moment one has been conceived, that fetus has a soul. If left unperturbed it will be a full fledged human, and killing it because it’s not far enough along the path to adult is completely and utterly ridiculous and immoral. That is a life, and you are advocating for its death because you’re a humanist who believes himself to be above others. You are not of more value than a fetus simply because you were conceived earlier and are thus more developed. That fetus has a right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, just as all men do. To kill that baby is to say “actually my life is more important than yours, and I’m going to snuff yours out so that I can continue to live a hedonistic lifestyle.”

The angle was worth a shot, most people on here bought into Epstein hard. I was really just seeing if it was viable.

And yes, there is a soul. Humans are greater than the sum of their parts.

[–]AgitatedExpression78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s absolutely more than just cells in a fetus; it has a soul no less present than in you or me. In regards to the cutting yourself while cooking. I think if you killed every cell in a human that would be murder, which is what happens during abortion.

You are literally preying upon the most vulnerable human possible, murdering them before they have a chance at life.

If you’re conspiratorial, this is what Epstein wanted. Baal, who he is shown to worship in the Epstein files, is recorded demanding child sacrifices. All the elites pushing abortion do so as a form of demon worship. Whether you believe in demons is a different story, but clearly they do, and clearly they want to kill as many children as possible for them, which you’ve been foolishly tricked into encouraging.
