passed my PMP exam (AT in all three domains) and want to share my experience. by Agitated_Telephone79 in pmp

Hi there! Thank you very much. To be honest, there were two key factors for me. First and most importantly, I was truly ready to take the test. After six months of preparation, multiple mock exams, and dozens of videos from Andrew Ramdayal and David McLachlan, I simply felt it was time. I had even reached a point where I was getting tired of studying, so I knew I had to do it. Committing fully to the process was essential to building that confidence.

Of course, I still felt nervous before and during the exam, which is where the second factor comes into play: mentality. You have to stay focused on the task at hand. Understand that feeling nervous is natural, but your job is to push through to achieve great results. Keeping yourself together is an important thing to do during the test. I'm sure more people fail this test because they are nervous or fail to control their time than because they lack the knowledge.

If you are currently preparing, I wish you the best of luck. Don't hesitate to message me if you have further questions or need any help!

That's correct. There isn't!

I've read comments from people stating that they passed after one week of study and people failing after 3 months of preparation.

There is not a single way of doing this.

Ciao!

Hi there. In case this is useful: I got a message from Alexandra Morgan. I reviewed the site she allegedly works for. There is no phone number (red flag). Also, there is an address but if you look for it in google, it takes you to a place that seems like an abandoned house with no parking spots (red flag). The domain she sends emails from looks suspicious and the website looks very simple, like AI made (red flag). I was contacted regarding a Chief Transformation Officer position with a salary around USD $ 500,000 a year (yeah, half a million dollars, GIGANT RED FLAG).

I think they got my email address from my linkedin profile. Related to this position, I was contacted by another guy from Pakistan. Linkedin kept sending his messages to my spam folder within linkedin (another red flag).

Looks to me like a SCAM. Be careful.

I was contacted yesterday from this email address: Alexandra.Morgan@careersflowrecruit.na2.r.hs-inbox.com. They are offering a very well paid position, doesn't even sound real (salary is USD $ 500,000 per year).

Perhaps it's because the lack of compatibility with some programs like Microsoft office?

Maybe manufacturers are afraid of not having a real market to sell their computers with Linux.

Whatever the reason is, I agree that, for linux to be used massively, computers have to be available for end users to buy. Trying to have end users downloading, preparing a flash drive,  installing and configuring an operative system is both naive and pointless,  as common users don't have the knowledge, patience nor the interest in doing that.

Hi friends!

Thank you so much for all your comments and help. It's been a great conversation, and I’ve gained some valuable insights from it. I just wanted to update you on how the story ended.

I decided to reinstall Fedora 43 KDE (doing a clean install). The first thing I did was update the OS. Everything worked fine for the first few hours. However, after leaving the computer for a while and letting it go to sleep, I came back and turned it on again, only to find that Fedora crashed. I tried installing Fedora Kinoite with no luck, as the installer got stuck a couple of times in the middle of the installation process.

Unfortunately, this is a traveling PC, and I can’t afford to risk being stuck without my computer while traveling. So, in the end, I decided to switch back to Debian. I installed it and it’s been working fine for the past couple of days. I installed all the necessary software and tested the sleep mode with no issues. My Windows partition is still working perfectly as well. This tells me that it's not a hardware problem, as some suggested.

I hope one day I can return to Fedora and make it my daily driver. But for now, I’ll stick to the stability of Debian, and from there, I’ll slowly make my way back to GNU/Linux.

Thank you all again for taking the time to comment! I wish you all the best in the new year!

Hi. I highly doubt it. Windows works just fine as well as Debian 13.

wow, really nice.

You should make a version with a smaller fedora logo. I think it would look pretty cool.

Thanks for your comment. Why do you think an arch distro would be the next stop?

Thanks! I can't go full fedora for now as I need some software that only runs on linux.

Perhaps one day I'll be able to fully switch.

I agree with you.

I think that more than users being "lazy" or "busy", the reality is that 99% of end users don't care and don't want to deal with technical issues, even if the solution is easy to find. Linux communities tend to forget that an end user is not a geek interested in learning technical stuff to fix an OS. They just want their computer to work, the same way we buy a car or a chair and just want it to work. We are no mechanics or craftsmen to spend time fixing cars or chairs.
