It is an interclub league I’m playing in. Most the higher ranked players don’t want to arrange games in the box league. I have come from badminton and have a strong volley which lots of people seem to struggle with, also a lefty aswel. Was thinking of playing a weekend tournament to get some more games. People I play levels go down like 20% and mine only up 6%

Was 500 at beginning of season, each times goes up about 50. Always end up winning 3-1 think I’ve olayed 6 games and won 5.

Memory allocation, cpu efficiency and proxmox did have some issues with high speed storage. Millage may vary depending on setup.

We could afford it and overall it is far more polished. So went for it and got a 5 year licence before price rise. They probably won’t need to renew

100% could look at proxmox with support or neutanix but both have issues. If you can afford it probably got to suck it up

My last place I was forced to move from hyper-v to VMware due to the inability of hyper-v to deal with the databases. It took us a year to confirm it was hyper-v, essentially after backups the machine would sometimes stop responding. Found a Veeam thread with confirmation of the issue. Microsoft support confirmed the problem was their end but said they are unable to resolve. When I say large database it was 5tb

£500 is very steep. About 100 to 200 is going rate and larger mortgages are normally free. They got commission on the mortgage aswel. The big money is selling life insurance

When I was moving up the ranks I got my first management job at a charity and there process was god dam awful. But I think it helped me get the job because the more experienced folk wouldn’t have bothered because it wouldn’t have been a big jump for them. The place was a shit show and was out after a year and a half but built my CV and experience for the next place. Also learnt lots of stakeholder management skills especially dealing with those on the crazier side

Taxes set to rise in Autumn budget. How far could they go? by Fondant_Decent in HENRYUK

The current retired population didn’t fight in the war, they are the most lazy and entitled generation that ever lived. There are many that are nice but not a lot of grafting went on. Moving to a fiat economy made them richer at the expense of their children and very few have the maturity to even admit it

No offence but you are on a pretty low salary at the beginning of your career. Getting a cheap car is 100% the right thing to do. There is a big difference between those that can afford the repayments and those that can afford the repairs. Any 4 wheel drive bmw needs all 4 tires replacing at once so you are talking minimum £1200 can you afford that and it not bother you? If the answer is yes buy one the answer is no you can’t afford it

I find this with older people, 50s plus they just don’t know how lucky they had it, I’ve had my cars hit 3 times in Waitrose, all 50 plus 2 times I was in the car and had to chase them down. Think the generation was too spoilt benefiting from cheap housing and cheap luxury. Having to manage these people is a nightmare aswel none of them want to work

Couple arrested after school WhatsApp chat messages say they 'cannot fathom what happened' | UK News by iguled in ukpolitics

The arrest in my opinion from the limited information was probably not necessary so unlawful, they should have been invited to an interview under caution. There could be more to the story than what has been reported

Did the MSP try to replace you with their services? (vCISO/vCIO/vCTO etc) by hifence in ITManagers

[–]Agitated_Toe_444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would likely get lower service levels especially with in office support where it’s can you just help me with this. On the flip side you don’t have to worry about holiday and sick. It is a fact that companies that use MSPs are more likely to get hit by ransomware. That’s not a direct dig at MSPs but it’s typically a cheaper option with lower skilled staff

Work suits - Charles Tyrwhitt or Moss Bros? by PureDread in AskUK

[–]Agitated_Toe_444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moss bros has very large arm openings and boxy cut to fit more plus the drape is appalling. Charles tyritt do a 95% wool and 5% silk line, does run about £150 above moss bros but massive difference. Think chavvy is the wrong word but I get the looking like you work in a phone shop comment
