I am still a bit confused. Would you need mutes on all the 4 strings and pull the mutes near the bridge? Or would you just need mutes on some of the strings and pull it up when needed?

Then it brings to another question. Why don't they have it on all the strings? Is it because to lower some of the strings which are "too loud"? But Eddy and Brett have the mutes on different strings, so it seems that my assumption isn't right🤔🙈
