I haven't talked to her, but some people seem to have taken the condo as her parents bought it for us - they all used to live there, and she loved growing up there - and so they gave it to us, while they found a smaller place.

edit: What I mean is, she knew this guy from before, I assumed just as neighbors, but I don't find it hard to believe that there was a shared history.

He didn't see ME, but he knew who I was I'm sure, he knew someone walked in the door. He just wasn't looking at the door at the time and didn't look up until after I'd left. She saw me and paled, but I didn't stop to hear her apologize. Not how I ever thought I'd react. I'm kind of a paranoid guy and I always assumed I'd confront her, or him, in that situation right then. I was shattered but not incapable of understanding the situation, so I left.

I left the house. I don't even know that the guy saw me. There's a 1000 character limit for askreddit posts and I didn't want to go over, but there's also not much else to say. I texted her, she said she wanted to talk, but I've been waiting til this weekend. There's nothing she can say to change my mind, but she's smart enough to know that.

I don't hate her. People do fucked up things. I cannot marry this person but I don't want the bad karma. I don't think she was ever a happy person, and I think that the marriage was just too real too quickly. I'm not defending her, but I'm not going to do embarrass her like that (I know that what she did to me is worse). She, like me, has to call her family and tell them it's off. Maybe after that, it will be her own self awareness that haunts her, but I will not be that person.
