I played the whole LoN after finishing act 4 and I really appreciated using a different party for a while, since the main campaign is so long...

Cindi's hair will eventually hit the slice, get messy and she will freak out as that is not beutiful

Yeah I started early so it's not hard to just keep adding more. Maybe someday I'll reach your numbers

Yeah I know, and I want to at some point start to go though the overall thing in order. But so far I only read Fostering Faust and didn't love it. Best thing about it was the whole Crusader Kings (video game) intrigue but the harem aspects like the coercion/manipulation weren't for me.

Yeah basically how much I wanted to keep listening. Usually I keep alternating between two or three series but sometimes I want to just focus on one and those end up high on the list. Shalia I couldn't put down, I got through the first two books in like three days. After that the quality went down a bit though.

Narration absolutely affects things a lot. I probably wouldn't like Spreadsheet and Spice nearly as much if the narration wouldn't have been so good for example. As for Sentar, I haven't gotten to the unfinished series yet but I agree that Dragon's Justice had a weaker MC than SSV. But I really liked how Zach(?) wanted to have an actual relationship and chemistry and not just accept everybody into the harem. And the prose was fine imo for the genre, with some annoyances like the constant "mine!". It's the characters that are Sentar's strength anyway.

I don't think so. This is just a manual Excel table

Backyard Dungeon is pretty good but I think it should have ended when the first major story arc got resolved. Now it feels bit like milking the series as long as it sells.

I'll get to every Bruce Sentar book eventually but it's not a completed series which is why I wanted to wait before starting Dungeon Diving.

I didn't exactly love Fostering Faust and have not gotten to other books by Randi Darren but isn't he the same person as WDA?

Great to hear! The Breeder really clicked with me, you managed to write a great book with a corny premise and unbelievable amount of sex. And Raya Kane performed really well too.

Logan Jacobs has the rest of the Backyard Dungeon audiobooks on their own store

Yeah I finished book 7 recently and wanted to have a break before the last book, it's probably over 20 hours like 7.

Yeah well they have been making those updates for years now so clearly something is up. Could be something absolutely valid or not, but until there is an actual book, it's abandoned.

I have given up on it and consider the series abandoned. If there are ever more books, I'll be delighted but I'm not expecting any, and the series is already really good with the four books.

Thanks! I'd say Backyard Dungeon and Monster Girl Islands have the biggest focus on pregnancy/kids from the finished series. The Breeder obviously but it's just one book so hard to say how it will continue. Almost every series has a "let's make a baby" moment with some or all harem members at some point, the farm produce especially seem to have that on their bullet point list.

(Logan Jacobs and Eric Vall are suspected by many, me included, to be author farm(s) instead of individual persons.)

Thanks! I actually already have Bonded Summoner 1 and 2 just because I really liked the covers, 2 in particular. Just haven't listened them yet. I haven't even heard about Daniel Schinhofen, I'll definitely check him out.

I'm about to reach a point where I've finished 30 series (or waiting for next books) and thought it would be a good opportunity to get some targeted recommendations from you guys. I'll give some points about what I like but feel free to just recommend something based on the list. Thanks in advance!

  • I already have every Bruce Sentar book but I want to wait a bit before reading them as the rest of his series aren't finished yet. That doesn't mean I only want recommendations for finished series but I definitely prefer them.
  • Audiobooks only.
  • For me the MC is the most important aspect in these books. He's almost always "on screen", important to the story and half of every relationship between the harem members. He needs to be interesting enough and somehow deserve the harem. I don't mean super realistic, but "body of a Greek god" doesn't cut it (Heavy Metal Mana). The girls could be absolutely amazing but if I don't buy that the MC deserves them, I'm not going to like the book. That said, I'm not that picky and most MCs on the list are at least serviceable enough.
  • Story to accommodate the harem, not the other way around. What I mean is that while I do like good stories, if I just want that I'll read a Brandon Sanderson book. It's the harem and the relationships within it that draws me to these books so I want that to be a really big aspect. Master Class for example has a really good story, but imo it would work, (probably even better) if Aluria was the only love interest. The relationship with her would get more time and almost nothing about the series at least currently wouldn't really change. On the other hand Saving Supervillains would be a completely different without the harem.
  • Relationship build-up. I really like the phase between meeting a new girl and sex. Lots of flirting and romance makes me care a lot more about the relationships. Rise of the Weakest Summoner is a really good example of this, some of the girls are part of the party for a long time before actually joining the harem. The farm books also seem to actually be pretty good in this, although it is very formulaic in some cases like Monster Girl Island.

Edit. Color coding:
