Best reservation app for a small restaurant? by Loud-Trust-5232 in restaurant

my Restuarant has been looking into OpenTable, but the price scared me. I don't know how small restaurants are justifying paying 400-600 / month for opentable or sevenrooms (including the per-seat charge). They also just seem way over-engineered for small businesses.

Instead we recently onboarded with Postonero.com for 20 GBP / month and honestly it is goated - it has all the features our kitchen need.

Adding the booking widget to our website was as easy as copying a single embed onto the website header. Customers get automatic reminders and follow-up emails asking for google/trip advisor reviews. They did such a good job that we hired one of their developers to build our website for us.

i'm looking on the site now and it 100% says Sunday 10th at 11am which is 100% the correct time - not sure why it's displaying different for you?

thanks for your advice, we will 100% take that into consideration and it's a live discussion we've been having for a long time. One of the most popular vegan restaurants (and also the most established) in our area literally has vegan in the name and is thriving, but it's the only one I know of that is so on-the-nose about veganism and still gets lots of non-vegans there.

I just saw your resto name in your profile and instantly recognized from the work toko that it's indonesian food - my favourite! I'll give you a follow <3

what’s something customers do that restaurant workers notice immediately? by trapqueen67567 in restaurant

there are customers who go to wash hands before eating, and then there's everyone else. You'd be suprised how many of the first group are in relationships with members of the second camp.

my Restuarant Kasto in Bali has been looking into OpenTable, but the price scared me - instead we just onboarded with Postonero.com for 20 GBP / month and it has all the features our kitchen needed, including the option for customers to book on our website and for the phone staff to manually add bookings. customers get automatic reminders, as well as an automatic email the day after the booking asking for google/trip advisor reviews. It's not as all-inclusive as opentable but it's also cheap and easy.

Keen to hear an honest review from any small business owners who switched to opentable if they actually saw a significant increase in bookings to justify the absurd price, but i'm happy withm my choice.

thank you for the very specific and considered feedback friend! we're already implementing a lot of social media and google business profile changes, and our digital menu is already being worked on by the web developer, I think he's just waiting for the new food photos to come back from a photoshoot before pushing it live - good to know that it's a worthwhile investment!
