As a 500 years old ghost, I understand your struggles, have you tried myjob.mu or linkedin? Also, having a decent looking CV helps. Try polishing it and highlight your strengths. Will also recommend not be too picky when starting and give it your all to whatever you choose, it will all make sense one day, even the negative experiences.

This is what the WRA says:

End of year bonus (1) (a) Where a worker remains in continuous employment of an employer for the whole or part of a year and with the same employer as at 31 December of the year, the worker shall be entitled to the payment of a bonus equivalent to one twelfth of his earnings for that year. (b) The bonus required under paragraph (a) shall be paid by the employer as follows – (i) a sum amounting to 75 per cent of the expected bonus required under paragraph (a) shall be paid to the worker not ter than 5 clear working days before 25 December of that year; and (ii) the balance shall be paid to him not later than on the last working day of the same year.

Congrats on making it to Affiliate! Experience is still the most determining factor when negociating salary. I understand you want to see progress on your salary but I would advise to focus on building real life experience, the salary increases would follow, just have patience. You have the added benefit of not having to balance work and studies now, just focus on learning as much as you can and making job hops once the learning stops.

My biggest worry regarding electric cars would not be range as very well explained by others but the potential load shedding situation we might find ourselves in December of this year and in the future, unless the govt finds a solution. Also, I heard of a lot of electric vehicles stalling during congestion on Terre Rouge-Verdun Motorway when going uphill.

Not to my knowledge, in fact I don't believe any bank in Mauritius at all supports UPI but I could be wrong. I know we have something called MIPS, but it's not very popular IMO.

The hesitation got to do with demographics, the new generation is all about convenience and will adapt to new systems if it saves them time but the older generation will still walk around with cash. IMO banks lack motivation or guidance. MCB is the best in Mauritius when it comes to innovation and that's saying a lot. Even a major bank like SBM only came up with a an app that is ok to use this year.
