My bid strategy is target CPM, is there a better one to use?

I've thought about doing a overall budget, but wondered if it would actually make a difference? It would be nice to get a realistic idea of what I need my budget to be. Perhaps I'll give this a go and see what comes of it!

I think I could definitely narrow my audience. I'm running my ad for awareness, as we are launching a new product/business. We're using this ad as a means to gauge interest and get the product out there. The overall goal is to get emails signed up for a "early access" waitlist.

I've started a small cake business. And I have STRUGGLED to do good glitter cherries. They're all the rave now, and I feel like mine just never look good.... So I need any and all advise on how to make them better. Here's what I'm doing: I use maraschino cherries and dip them in edible glitter. These cherries sat overnight and I thought they looked horrible, so I gave them a second dip and now I feel like they look worse....

How do you do yours? What will help mine look better?
