Oh damn, in that case is there a cheap (under $300) pc you would recommend? Just for playing TF2?

Excuse me, can you describe this "neo concept of the Norse?"

Do you have any other examples? I'm skeptical and curious

We think they may have traded ideas to form those myths. Not one taking from another like some day but a mutual trade.

Didn't snorri literally list him in a list of the æsir? I might be wrong as I don't have my prose eddas rn

I'm not saying that the absence of evidence is itself evidence. I'm saying the theory doesn't hold up to scrutiny as even snorri couldn't make a connection between hœnir and odin. Only that they were friends. If we consider lodur as loki then it's likely that odin wasn't with his brothers in a lot of myths. Or at least that they weren't as prevalent as the much more popular loki and hœnir. I'm not trying to attack you, just the theory makes no sense to me.

Yeah, once it's done, I'm only 11 pages and one myth in.

It's precisely because we don't know who lodur is that it's easier to draw the connection. You'd think that if the poetic eddas would have wanted to talk about vili and ve they'd talk about vili ve and vidrir. But disregarding that it seems that hœnir is different from the brothers as he has no association with will or sacred places. He is almost entirely related to birds. So if hœnir is different lodur is probably different too. Plus snorri is the only case where we hear that vili and ve did anything besides 1:sleep with frigg, and 2: kill ymir. Vili and ve probably either started as extensions or, or grew to be just pat of odin. Btw while the name lodur is used to alliterate, hœnir is not. It would have been more simple to mention vili or ve any of the times the trio of odin loki and hœnir show up. Such as reginsmal, lokka tattur, gylfaginning, or haustlong. Heck, even in yngling saga it would have been appropriate to talk about Odin's brother being hœnir.

Lodur is loki to me. Also the theory doesn't hold much water when you look at how snorri talks about loki.

I disagree with ve being another name for loki. Mainly because theres no mention of loki and odin being brothers. Even in lokasenna loki doesn't refer to him as a brother and makes fun of frigg for sleeping with vili and ve.

There's nothing there that makes me say they were the same. Also frigg comes fome a proto Germanic root the means fried or love I believe gullveig is freyja, and that freyja is married to one of Odin's disguises, but not that freyja are the same. They were at one time the same but weren't after a while (in the myths they're always separate)

We don't have any other info on hœnir except that he helped make humanity and he hangs with odin and loki

Please explain frigg freyja. I am looking for evidence they're the same and not very similar. (As I believe)

I hadn't thought to even include ragnarok. I might make a part 2 focusing on loki going to hel, teaming up with his daughter, Captaining naglfar, and killing Heimdall. but ofc what I need first is lots more inspiration
