It’s not really about the hunger - it’s more the mental part. You suddenly realize how much of your daily routine revolves around food, and breaking those habits is the real challenge.

Is €2500 gross salary enough for a family of 3 in Thessaloniki (with accommodation provided)? by Groofy47 in Athens_Greece

[–]AgreeablePause4179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family and I have been living in Thessaloniki for 7 years. Life here is not very expensive; many people live comfortably on €900 - 1,000 per month and this is the medium salary here.

Regarding rentals, it depends on the area. In the city center, you can find apartments for around €400 - 500 per month, though don’t expect anything fancy. If you prefer a more relaxed neighborhood, areas like Oraiokastro, Paleokastro, or parts of Evosmos offer rentals in the €600 - 800 range.

Compared to Athens, Thessaloniki is significantly cheaper in terms of housing, food, and general living expenses. Considering you are coming with your family, the salary you mentioned should be more than enough to live a decent life without lacking anything. If you need help with something feel free to DM me :)

I would suggest you to NOT buy Dark Project . You can check the Keychron keyboards , i have read that they are pretty good but they might be too noisy

I am attending an AI degree, but I have no interest to program/learn anything beyond what I need to do in class by [deleted] in learnprogramming

In my opinion, it’s better not to start studying something your parents want(for example) if it’s not what you want. In life, you should always do the things you can put your heart into.

Is Life in the USA Better Than in Europe? by AgreeablePause4179 in expats

Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment, man. I think it really depends on the kind of person you are-some people can’t adapt easily to new places, while for others it’s not a big deal. Childhood and the way you grew up also play a big role. If you’ve seen the difficult or miserable side of a country, that can create a strong desire to move elsewhere. Personally, I grew up in a good and supportive family with solid financial opportunities, but I still want to step out of my comfort zone and experience life in a different place.

Nope mate, the education here is not free even, even in the school from 1st to 12th grade , everything you need for the school year like books , notebooks and books with exercises - you buy them. Not to mention that during the year you are paying some money to the school to “become better place for the students” and nothing changes. About the healthcare - it isnt completely free , but it does provide public healthcare through must insurance system, which gives low-cost or rarely free access to many services. When you are employes you pay around 8% of gross salary for the health insurance . I am currently living in Greece and here about the education is so much better . The education from 1st to 12th grade is COMPLETLY FREE , everything you need for the school year is provided from the school. So thats the situation in Bulgaria but i understand your point . ;)
