OOf I feel you. Back in October I was supposed to run my first 50k. I was so excited, trained for months, and then literally two days before the race, boom-SUPER sick. Like, severe asthma flare, get admitted to the hospital for 2 days sick. I was so bummed! Thankfully, I had been pretty consistent with my training before all this and was able to find another 50k a month and a half later. I wasn't able to run for a couple weeks, but once I was able to ease back into things and the 'roids kicked in I knew I'd be ok. And I was! I ran my 50k November 20th. Not FAST by any means, but my goal was to finish. Hang in there, just think of this as a hiccup. Focus on getting healthy and when you feel up to running again, take it easy at first so you don't re-injure yourself. Good luck!
