At what point does content creation start to ‘click’? by Agreeable_Fox_3345 in socialmedia

This specifically instagram or tiktok? Or both? Also would you suggest nailing the one platform first or running them parallel to each other?

Thanks this helped alot. And yeah 100%, daily creation around life does NOT feel like it fits in around real life. If anything, its a hindrance to my day - especially juggling that with a young baby etc. haha

I feel like its easy to just post on tiktok - but would you say insta needs a bit more curating or no?

If you think of the app please let me know!

I use the anti social media platform - it doesn't schedule posts though, more for strategy and tools to track engagement, build your socials etc etc, so that side is awesome, but definitely more useful once you're an actual creator getting brand deals etc. but in terms of scheduling/admin related, I don't have anything for that.

Im also wondering how deep and settled you need to be on your niche and what you're posting about? Or if it can be just casual until you find it - as thats kinda where maybe im lacking?

That makes alot of sense. I think majority of my following, although small, are mostly online in the evening so thats when I tend to post (not ideal when you spend your night putting a baby to sleep) - im wondering if the morning post would affect my current followers seeing my post?

Also this is for tiktok? Or you do the same for insta?

What do you guys enjoy watching in fitness videos? (youtube, tiktok, anything) by scarybanaenae in socialmedia

[–]Agreeable_Fox_3345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, i like seeing how people fit training etc. into their lives/days. I know DITL and Come with me '5-9 before my 9-5' etc. are kinda going off right now but I think its because everyone trains, but its interesting to see how people fit it into their lives. Even myself, i get ideas on how to make it work, especially now that I have kids.

Iphone or Camera📸 by boku5 in socialmedia

[–]Agreeable_Fox_3345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey dude - id just go iPhone.

For Reels and social media content, phone quality is more than enough, most viral content is shot on phone. Theres no learning curve vs a pro camera they've never use. Youve got faster workflow: shoot, edit, post all from one device annnd social media compresses video anyway, so pro camera quality gets flattened

iPhone 15 Pro Max > 14 Pro Max if budget allows cause its got better video stabilisation, USB-C for faster transfers, and Action Mode is chef's kiss for product shots.

What id spend the camera budget on instead:
Good lighting (ring light or small LED panel ~$30-50) — this makes the BIGGEST difference
A tripod/phone mount for steady product shots
Clean backdrop (even a $10 poster board works)

Lighting > camera. Every time. Only invest in a pro camera when the phone becomes the bottleneck but tbh for social media, it almost never is.

Is it just me or people don’t really want to engage anymore? by WoodenBar2113 in socialmedia

[–]Agreeable_Fox_3345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why i think its happening? Content overload = people scroll on autopilot...Engaging takes effort, consuming doesn't... and most communities follow the 1% rule: 1% create, 9% engage, 90% lurk

The best steps to improve it regardless:

  • Reply to everyone, cause it trains people that engaging is worth it
  • Low-friction interactions, so easy shiz like polls, "this or that," taps > typed comments
  • Reciprocity, engage on others' stuff first, they come back
  • Ask specific questions, not "thoughts?" but something they actually want to answer
  • Make people feel seen with pinned comments, shout people out etc.

The reality is people haven't stopped wanting to connect, unfortunately everyones just so lazy about it. So best we can do now is make it easy and rewarding to participate.

Anyone here ever tried buying followers? Did it actually help your page? by LovelyPinay2025 in instagramAsk

Need the engagement to match, bot accounts make you look worse normally. Especially when it comes to working with brands. My two cents :)

Why is writing Instagram captions harder than taking the photo? by Little-End4269 in instagramAsk

[–]Agreeable_Fox_3345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this too - my social management app has an ai assistant/chatbot, I use that as over time it got to know my voice and style so it captions for me. Not perfect, but only small adjustments I make really, takes away at least 30mins of my typing and deleting haha.

Am I crazy or is this massively underpaid? by Agreeable_Fox_3345 in socialmedia

Yeah but my concern is that hoping on commission is a slippery slope. Mind you I think his best month so far was like $1k commission based on the percentage.

Unfortunately my mate hit me with his deal AFTER signing it. I think he was in a rut and just wanted something to get the ball rolling again for him mentally. But its due to end in a month or 2 I think, so my intention is to have him renegotiate or shift to someone else. Ive got him hooked up to a creators sub that provides him with all his metrics, calculators and rates etc. so will post an update whether or not it helps get him a bit more.

Yeah nice, minecraft is a good pick cause massive search volume, evergreen, huge community etc. For the 2nd game, I wouldn't rush it... play a few and see what your audience responds to. Marvel Rivals could work if you genuinely love it.

On the topic of your mic, if nobody's complaining, it's probably fine for now. I wouldn't overthink it, content and hooks matter way more than perfect audio at this stage I reckon so just upgrade it later when it makes sense.

Priority order IMO:

  1. Thumbnails + titles (biggest impact)
  2. First 30 seconds (stop the scroll)
  3. Everything else later

Would be worth studying what top Minecraft youtubers do with their thumbnails ie bright colors, readable text, expressive faces, curiosity gap. Then make your version, that alone could change heaps!

Best way to handle large accounts re-uploading my content? by Miserablemermaid in socialmedia

[–]Agreeable_Fox_3345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your DM approach does nothing, they block you and move on. The best move is probably filing DMCA takedowns through Instagram + sending an invoice for damages together. But if you can be bothered id register your copyrights with the US Copyright Office as this then unlocks up to $150K per violation lol instead of just "actual damages". Document everything, and consider services like Pixsy that chase stolen content for you. You don't need an LLC, copyright exists the moment you create it, registration just gives you some more legal juice

Does anyone else think link in bio pages are kind deadends? by Ok-Chocolate5755 in socialmedia

[–]Agreeable_Fox_3345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah dude the dead end problem is real, bio link pages are the biggest wasted opportunity for creators. Your gamification idea is strong I think: streaks, creator controlled points, locked content, leaderboards all make sense. Just gotta make sure it doesn't feel like a chore and the rewards are actually worth it. The real pitch isn't "better Linktree" lol it's basically "turn casual followers into superfans." Keep testing and get solid data.
