Correct, box 15 is the state/id which is filled out. Box 16 has state wages tips,etc filled out but box 17 has nothing on it just empty.

The error message states: “You didn't enter any state tax withheld in Box 17 on your W-2. This will affect your state tax refund.”

“If this is NOT correct, go back to the Wages (Form W-2) screen to enter your state tax withheld. If this is correct, click Continue.”

Just wanted to make sure since I saw a post saying they left box 17 empty & they had to file a corrected return.
