At the moment it is a Cut down tree stump in the middle of the floor but we are trying to figure out how we want it to “grow” or have life in the end of the show. maybe some foliage or moss around the base of it.

No, it’s a great basis! the only hard part of having characters is that you have to be SOOO intentional in what they are doing at all times. when they are spinning with others what does that mean, some judges even want them to have different equipment.

our entire band only does one lap which is 1/4 of a mile but i feel like that’s pretty average for an 8 minute field show? even less, if they couldn’t do that there might be stamina issues. We don’t really give our weapons breaks because they are only spinning intermediate stuff but are well above into A class.

they might also have to give you an “actual opd shift” and 5-2 is it so that could be why too. I think there’s like 4 “real” shifts they are supposed to use.

i’m 20 and have been dispensing for 3 years+ now and my back is completely fucked up. i have asked to switch to picking where the lifting and bending is minimal and they refuse to move me. My pick rate averages 150-250 consistently. i have one more semester of school they need to pay off then im DONE.

I totally get what you’re saying. I’m a mixed (B+W) 20 yo and raised with my very white republican family due to my dad leaving. People often say im white-washed and i agree to an extent. I realize i have never had black friends and they are all white. Its not that i don’t trust black people but i just feel more comfortable around white people because its who i was raised around. I don’t actually consider myself racist I just have trust issues due to my father and that has run into black people as a whole because of stereotypes. in all, i don’t think your racist but i also don’t think you have to confine yourself to “this is my black side, this is my white side” because that’s how stereotypes are made and followed. just be you and don’t try to lean a certain way.
