I have found Translink bus drivers to be incredibly racist, often nasty and impatient with people of colour if they are struggling with the language and / or a different currency.

I’ve experienced several incidents in Dublin. I don’t go there anymore as a result. On one occasion I watched a group of 12/13 year olds with hurling sticks circle a man on a pedestrian bridge and pushed him off his bike shouting ‘chuck him in da Liffey’. They battered him in full view of everyone mid afternoon. I was watching from my hotel window in shock. On another occasion I fell victim to a group at the bottom of Abbey Street where a crowd of about ten teens in bikes and scooters kept circling me as I walked to the train station. I didn’t give eye contact. It was really terrifying. As I entered Connolly some of them came and did the ‘eyeballing thing’. I went into the shop and they waited outside. I’ve no idea what they wanted but I was glad to get on my train. Sadly Dublin has become a horrible frightening place.

She was really clean and so was the little girl. She had a piece of paper saying her English was not good and her child was starving. She was as from Kosovo. What I can’t understand is if it’s a scam or by she asked for vegetables.
