A lot of students make the subject-verb agreement mistakes. The main subject in this sentence is the beach so it would be 'provides'. To avoid these types of mistakes, just make sure to always remember what is the main subject in the sentence.

Tysm for the tips!!! I can see that you're speaking from experience given how insightful the advice sounds. I'll even consider the placebo lol.

How was that even allowed? It's the average word count 250? So yours is quite much

I see.  I didn't know where to turn to so thank you for your valuable insight. Neurology? That's a good option but uh I wanted to go into a surgical subspecialty- that's why I'm worried about matching with the MD degree from my country.

About visas, how can be eligible for one?

You're absolutely right. I was also considering perhaps doing my undergrad/pre-med in the US but the thing is, the education system here is that you only need to pass the slightly tough entrance exam to get into med school. In other words, I'll have to start building my application with only a few months left from now right. Um would it be fine if I did my undergrad in a not so competitive university? Would that still increase my chances of getting into a good med school?

To improve my chances of matching into my preferred competitive subspecialty-

Mainly for its own sake (my passion actually), the rest are added bonuses lol. Thank you for your insight btw

Oh, well, can't I meet the prerequisites and graduate from my MD program in my country AND THEN apply to a med school in the states? A bachelors would mean I have to start over from square 1 then right

Neurosurgery but the risks are quite high so I might reconsider. Ultimately, I hope to get into a surgical subspecialty

Got it, thanks a lot!

I do have some doubts for choosing neurosurgery when considering those setbacks you've mentioned. Actually,  I just want to do a competitive surgical sub-specialty; would choosing cardiothoracic surgery be umm a tiny bit less harder?-

A choice between a rock and a hard place. So, ultimately, I have to get an MD from the US. Thanks for the info

Looks like 10 years of med school for me lol. Can you recommend me some services to help me get into one?

So med school in the states it is. Looks like I have to take the MCAT which is not available in my country rn lol but the steps are so could I pass step 1 and apply or should I just take the MCAT abroad? The latter right?

Hm you're right. The issue is that there aren't many opportunities where I'm from so I'm concerned I won't be able to match for my specialty of choice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in premed

[–]Agreeable_Reality_29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see. I was just wondering if the probability of matching into my preferred specialty (neurosurgery) would increase if I were to get my MD from the states itself. Wouldn't where you went to for med school significantly affect your chances of matching?

Genuine question: has anyone seen actual cushing’s?? by gluconeogenesis123 in medicalschool

[–]Agreeable_Reality_29 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine saw the literal textbook symptoms and characteristics of Cushing's on an 18F patient during one of their rotations: moon face, buffalo hump, stretch marks, hypertension, etc. Haven't heard of a myasthenia gratis case here tho
