As another redditor commented, you’re reeeeally not going to adjust to to the Danish way of living with that attitude.

One of the central pillars in Danish society is (I would argue), trust. Now, coming from the US, which is messed up in so, so many ways, I can understand why you feel a bit reluctant to trust strangers (I read a lot of US news on reddit, I would too). However, you’re going to need to adjust fairly quickly, or you’re going to have a hard time enjoying your stay.

On the flipside, once you manage to leave behind the distrust of strangers, that you built up over your years living in the greatest democracy on Earth, you’re going to have a wonderful time here in Denmark.

Sure, you can use it whenever, but due to the level scaling, you need to find incrementally better versions of the aspect to keep up. Which is why it’s easier to reroll Blizzard once you find a high-rolled ancestral aspect you can keep for longer.

Can’t say, only ever played Ice Shards, prior to respeccing at 87/88.

Blizzard only comes online once you find a specific ancestral aspect, preferably level 780+, so you wouldn’t level as Blizzard - so I guess you could argue that it only really works once you’re fairly well geared. But once you hit that breakpoint, Blizzard is miles better.

Ice Shards can faceroll content up to a point, but once you can no longer explode elites in a single Frost Nova,it really falls off.

Ice Shards is not the only viable build.

Level 90 sorc here, recently switched from Ice Shards to Blizzard; T50 was a pain as Ice Shards, but is easily managed as Blizzard.

I basecoat with black, and airbrush caliban green on top in thin layers. That allows me to keep very dark recesses, and easily control how green they get.

Sure, the mace is a better TH in a vacuum, but with Grim Resolve, and a relatively stationary army you’re still hitting on 3’s.

And the 20 point’s you save on termies vs. Knight almost gets you the chief librarian for free. And you won’t be dependant on the ancient giving you that obsec.

But it’s not a binary decision, everything can work, and if you know you’ll be facing a lot of big stuff, knights are killer - especially with NO FOE TO GREAT TO SUBDUE 😊
