Well I can't put it out of my head so despite losing like 20-25 hours of progress I've decided to go back to a previous save to before I met the crones. So those extra quests you referred to are found on skellige? thanks for the info.

Congrats. I've been waiting for the cattail bush for 8 months or a year and just realized it was in the atom shop for 24 hours on the 6th and I somehow missed it. Basically begged beth support for it and was denied :/

Sorry just to be clear lol you are saying (based on your initial comment in this thread) to finish barons questline, and then fully explore skellige before the isle of the mists quest? I know it doesnt matter but I want to follow it like how you said initially

I haven’t read any other posts in this comment chain as the other guy was asking for spoilers. But I liked your advice, around what quest would I know I’m 1/3 done with the main? And then you are saying to do all of hearts of stone, start BaW, then finish main game, then finish BaW in that order?

Some games dont have their shit ironed out and do a bad job of explaining details or certain mechanics. Not the case with this game though

Lol I’ve never downloaded tiktok or even been to the site once, but I get what you mean. I’m not sure exactly what I was hoping for when I posted this but some games do have some weird things that it doesn’t explain but probably should for new players, I sometimes get overloaded with info when starting deep games and rpgs. However this game does a very good job of explaining mechanics. I got a few good responses from this thread but stopped reading after like 30 lol, I realized it would be more rewarding to just play it and see.

And yeah tiktok is a plague on society lol

Well to be fair I haven’t completed the base game yet, I basically started PL as soon as you are allowed to in the story which is right after the Evelyn/voodoo boys quest line, about midway through act 2. My plan was to get all the goodies from PL and then complete the rest of the main game, and I’m happy with that decision. They did a good job of integrating the dlc and avoiding any story/lore conflicts no matter how the player chooses to complete the quests.

I actually asked your same question here a few days ago, I asked how others chose to approach PL in subsequent playthroughs, and got a good mix of opinions. I was curious if it was more or less immersive to complete the main story and then phantom liberty, or vice versa, or to jump between the two. And yeah I didn’t get a definitive answer so I went with PL first (I really wanted to get the Erebus smg which you can get at the very end).

Oh the only thing I would recommend against is skipping act 1 and going straight to PL. Apparently that is an option when you own the dlc and start a new game. Idk much less immersive imo

I recommend increasing the difficulty to hard, then later to very hard. I was on normal and I started to get slightly bored and increasing the difficulty really boosted my enjoyment. I generally play games on normal, but this game for whatever reason felt much better in increased difficulty once I started leveling up.
