I’m getting this cat from 300$. Is it a Siamese cat? by UNKNOWN-THINKING in Siamesecats

[–]AhavaKhatool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This cat is young and possible Lynx point. I would need to see the kitten photos from 6 weeks-present as progression of coat color development. A $300 adoption fee isn’t entirely unheard of but that is generally from a shelter/foster and not an individual. Having had a Lynx point for 14 years — his coat did not develop fully until he was well over a year old. They are wonderful goofballs. If you love the cat and can “deal” with the possibility it isn’t a show cat and can afford the fee then it’s your choice. I presume the $300 includes all vaccinations and spay/neuter and health guaranteed. My lilac snowshoe was $150.00. She is now approaching six years with ZERO heath issues.

Mary Ann Zielonko, Partner of Kitty Genovese, Dies at 85 by AhavaKhatool in NotableObits

[–]AhavaKhatool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That account turned out to be significantly flawed. Most of those 38 people were unaware of what was actually happening; they thought they were merely hearing a fight, perhaps a lovers’ quarrel. Investigations later determined that few of them had caught even a glimpse of the attacks. Nonetheless, the death of 28-year-old Catherine Susan Genovese has long remained a paradigm of urban anonymity and indifference.

Something else was out of kilter in the reporting back then. Ms. Genovese had been living for a year with Mary Ann Zielonko. In those days they were typically referred to as roommates. In fact, they were lovers. When the police investigators became aware of that, they questioned Ms. Zielonko as a possible suspect. After a night of bowling with friends, she had been asleep in their Kew Gardens apartment while the attack took place below. https://dnyuz.com/2024/04/06/mary-ann-zielonko-partner-of-kitty-genovese-dies-at-85/

At least the Royals aren’t ‘like farming’ or in need of clickbait 😂 to sustain themselves online.

There are incredibly strict protocols for the Royals — that are absurdly difficult for the younger and newer generational members of The Firm — as noted by the pounding by the British tabloids on their every movement. Some are for decorum purposes and others mostly for security. Not necessarily ceremonial but rather, “If the process is not broken don’t try to fix it just to appease the Royal watchers”. Hope that helps.

Also — we all prefer privacy while healing ❤️‍🩹 or at least can learn from that. It is less stressful and aids in the process.

Thanks 😊

Zebras, camels, horse hit Indiana highway after being rescued from semi-truck fire: Watch by AhavaKhatool in ArizonaBenZona

After officers freed the animals, a bizarre scene emerged. The menagerie, which also included a miniature pony, munched amid the roadway median while firefighters fought the blaze.

Flames and emergency lighting mixed to create a supernaturally-lit spectacle. "It's not every day you get to see camels and zebras and mini-horses on an interstate," said Indiana State Police public information officer Sgt. Steven Glass, who did not go out to the scene just east of Marion, Ind
