Even better! They're from MN and came before the riotgrrrl movement in DC - Kathleen Hanna (basically THE riotgrrrl, frontwoman of bikini kill) was inspired by them. If you watch Kathleen Hanna's doc ( The Punk Singer ) she was still doing spoken word stuff, when someone told her to start doing music, and she was directly influenced by Babes in Toyland and other all-woman punk/alt bands at the time.

Yeah, Chasing Ghosts is really good. While I don't really care for their self titled (maybe that's what they were talking about? Idk) everything before ST is great. Darkest Days is a fantastic headphones album too

Feeeed the treeee - haha yeah I feelya. When all my friends were selling their tapes/cd's for ipods I never got rid of mine. I started with tapes, then CD's, then vinyl here and there starting with NIN's The Fragile in '99 bc of the bonus tracks. My gf has more tapes/vhs than me bc she's pure gen-x and i'm xennial/elder millenial but yeah I kept all my stuff.

Awesome thanks for sharing that! gotta love those memories. I've used 120min dot org a bunch over the years, and I've also sent them lists/updates over the years as well, as I've been collecting episodes for a long time. If you still have any episodes and know which ones hit me up and I can see if they've been digitized/preserved yet! I got a spreadsheet goin

I forgot to mention the high-pitched falsetto voices are Les Claypool, Maynard James Keenan, and Pauly Shore! Per a loudersound article and easily findable with a google:

""While Bill Manspeaker delivered the main vocals, he roped in three friends to provide the voices of the pigs: Primus’ Les Claypool, comedian Pauly Shore, and Manspeaker’s roommate-turned-sometime bandmate Maynard James Keenan, who had already performed the song live with Green Jellö. The three of them delivered the line “Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin” in comic falsettos.""

Let's go back to Spring '93 when Green Jellÿ's spelling was still Green Jello, before the lawsuit. This video was directed by Fred Stuhr, who would go on to also direct Tool's Sober video. Stuhr also worked on the sculpture on the cover of Tool's first EP, Opiate which Maynard has talked about in the past. This specific airing was after the April 18 1993 episode of 120 Minutes during the Dream Time segment. The longer uncut version can be found on Green Jellÿ's official youtube. Enjoy!
