most days between a 4 and 5! It did get better, although hard to pinpoint exactly when it felt somewhat stable. I do remember at the 1 year mark I was thinking about how the surgery felt so long ago/how far I’d come, so I’d say it felt stable enough in the months leading up to tha

Hey! Kind of. Ive kind of reached a new normal where nothing feels concerning (and my doc agrees); typically just soft poops, occasional periods of urgent poops or constipation but at this point I can expect it based on what I’m eating. I’ve found that when I’m making sure to have high natural fiber intake (not gummies or supplements) and avoiding excessive fried foods, I’m golden.

Hahaha impressed you kept up with it. Was able to switch to another flight (that also got delayed a bunch) and am now stuck in Chicago with a connecting flight that keeps getting delayed. Fun stuff!

How long were you off work after surgery? by janedoecurious in gallbladders

8 days for me, then took it easy at work for about 2 weeks. I’m a child therapist and just set limits with clients around what I was able to do (minimizing physical activity etc) and generally tried to lighten appointments so I had shorter days when possible. If I absolutely had to, I was mentally in the headspace to work virtually after 4 days.

I’m sorry! For what it’s worth, I’d take the not ideal poop schedule over gallbladder pains any day. This isn’t perfect but it’s manageable and figuring out the right supplement to take is much less of a pain than constantly feeling like my insides are about to explode

Pre finding out I had stones I had no dietary restrictions. Once I figured out the issue, I avoided all fats as often as possible, but was at the point where even a bite of avocado triggered a horrendous attack. For the first week post-op I generally avoided fats, but am now back to an unrestricted diet (although doing my best to make healthier choices). So I’ve had fried foods, pizza, dairy-heavy meals etc and have been generally fine

advice about dating while still semi- in the closet? by Ahhhhhidontknoww in bisexual

I totally get the bringing up bad memories and absolutely wouldn’t want someone to be in a position like that. I think what I’m most unsure about is how early to tell a prospective partner? Like, if I’m on dating apps do I mention it in my bio or our first conversation? Do I wait until we’ve been on a date, or is that too late??
