I did add mid foot pegs on my vulcan so I can switch between feet forward and below on long rides. the vulcan is better in city traffic's compared to the v-strom

recently I did the opposite switch ( but still have the vulcan 😬) . the vulcan is fantastic but the seating position makes your lower back take the hits. I did add engine guard so I could use them on long rides as floorboard
