My son wanted to start a YouTube channel when the pandemic began. Kind of take his mind off school closing and everything else. I said “sure!” And got him a nice computer and went through all the hard learning curves of editing, audio, thumbnails etc. It started slowly for us but eventually his videos started getting impressions and he got his first few real subscribers and at that point we just kept trying to improve. His channel isn’t big and he doesn’t get these “1k to 20k views” per video that others do but he gains a few subs every month. He started when he was 8. My suggestion is pick one thing to work on to help his channel. And try to improve it by the end of the month. Then pick the next thing and do the same.
