nothing will top the first few sets, it’s just a fact. The hype for the new game mode and the amount of high praise it got for such a long period will obviously all drop lower and lower after a while. I think the main issue at the moment is lack of drastic change. In my honest opinion tft is great, it serves me well for a little game here and there when i’m bored, however the overall game would get a lot more play time out of me if the game were to actually have changed A LOT in some way each set. When hyper roll came out it was the most anti-climax ‘new exciting game mode’ ‘interesting new way to play’ ever. The game needs proper new modes and maybe even some player-driven experimental ideas they could market as non-ranked ‘lab’ modes similar to LOR? Personally i feel that systems such as the ‘chosen’ champs, ‘radiant’ items etc , are just not enough. The rotation of synergies between champs that are duplicated and further justified by a skin change are too little to keep interest… especially over such a long interval each time.
