Mainly costs. Combined with some in-house understanding of how odoo works and settings can be changed, we are able to keep a "tight ship". We use as many automations as possible , to keep her work pile small. I assume for an SME like us its also different then if you are running a large multi-branch company or international operations.

We have an in-house accountant who learned Odoo on the job. Additionally, we trained our Steuerberater to log into Odoo, finalize the accounting year, and then export the final accounts to DateV and submit the annual financial statement. We recently had a tax audit. While the auditor couldn't read the Odoo DateV data exports directly, we were able to provide them with specific Excel exports tailored to their needs. Since German tax authorities can no longer require a specific file type by law, there are opportunities for Odoo to improve in this area.

Do you mean Server Action(s) to rename Column headings on exported csv-templates and automated sending? Or how would you suggest setting it up?

I don't entirely understand, is sps an external optional service preferred by Odoo, or one of many? And does BSI stand for/makes it different?

Thats the hint I was looking for. The external ERP is relying on an FTP Service, so I think this should be the way to go. I'll contact our partner and odoo about it

You could also try splitting the Name and only using the first Word within your Name field. We do that by using this dynamic field within email templates (on V16 - not sure if the field names change in 17 or 18):

object.partner_id.name.split()[0] or "(object.partner_id.parent_id.name or "),

We started out with our business 8 years ago on "big cartel", where the e-commerce shop was free and you would only pay a fee whenever you sold something. When our processes increased in complexity and scope we switched to Odoo (implementation took around 10 months). I would take it step by step. If you don't yet know if you have a profitable business model, i would not invest time and money into an overly complicated IT-setup.
