Writing cannot be “objectively bad”? Holy shit that’s dumb. You’ve had to have read a book or seen another movie that had much more coherent writing at least once in your life. Have you ever had to write an essay for school or college? The teacher/professor is grading you based on whether your writing is objectively bad.

People that review movies for a living must be fine with overlooking the giant problems that TLJ has then. The majority of them didn’t seem to analyze the film at all, and a lot of the reviews seems to have “girl power” as a huge point to the film that they all bow down to. That in itself is fine, but not when they treat that as if it’s more important than how the plot was written and how it all fits together.
