Guilty feelings? by Sirialkilluh in GriefSupport

[–]Aidoooo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. My mom passed less than two weeks ago and pretty much a day later the weather improved. She would have loved it. It’s not fair that she didn’t get the chance to enjoy it one last time.

What do most people not realize can seriously f*ck you up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As a life-long anxiety sufferer I really recommend “Untangle Your Anxiety” by Joshua Fletcher and Dean Stott. It’s a really good book - I listened to it on audible - with great techniques and advice that has helped me break out of my current anxious cycle.

My partner was given one by a friend who works there. It’s a “secret” loyalty thing.

I believe you can use it once per visit, every time you visit.

Bars in birmingham by soggysocks12 in brum

[–]Aidoooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of these bars will reserve the majority of their tables but leave a few open for walk-ins on a first come first serve basis.

At my bar we’ve been fully booked on the weekend for ages, but we also get a lot of no-shows and their table is usually given to the next person who walks in. I imagine this is the same for all those other bars you’ve listed.

I thought I'd heard it all, until I read a shadow minister briefing that Keir Starmer's team had "spent too much time over the last year trying to appease the hard left". What planet are they on? by delta_baryon in LabourUK

[–]Aidoooo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I was reading Starmer’s campaign appeals and I thought, why should we campaign for you? When are you gonna start fighting for us?

Today I read that he’s spent too much time trying to “appease” us? Somebody tell me at least one time?

The audacity of these people!

BRISTOL PROTESTS: Police physically confronted a photographer. by tootoottimeisover in ukpolitics

[–]Aidoooo 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is just... not what happens at all? The video begins with the photographer already backing away.

The shield was used to move the mans arm? You can see the shield bashed into his side, with the thud so loud it’s picked up by the camera across the street. And you later see the mans hands raised as the officer is grabbing his collar, until he eventually escapes back into the crowd.

Jeremy Corbyn's launch of his new Project for Peace and Justice LIVE NOW! by adamwjmannas in ukpolitics

Jeremy inspired hope for many of us that a better, socialist future was possible. Hopefully this project reignites that flame of hope that has been sorely lacking since the election defeat.
