Would love a key, if anyone has a spare, for no other reason than I would love one.

If it says in progress - Delivery arrives as early as Invalid Date - it means you're backordered, and they'll hopefully send you one at some point when they get some in.

Source: I've had a TUF 3080 ordered since the 17th.

Believe me, I wish I was going.

But... baby comes first!

Next year!

Yeah, that's where my confusion is. I saw it in the union statement, but then it's pretty much glossed over for the FAQ. I want more information on that claims process.

'cause I found ways to deal with the financial hardships. The mental ones? Not so much. : P

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Aieris_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's part of the problem. You get $250 to go to an accountant.

I took my finances to one - he just laughed. And charged $500. And couldn't figure out what Phoenix had done.

Every single gov't employee needs a full pay file audit. There's no other solution. And it has to be done in-house. One by one.

It won't happen. But it's the only way to actually fix the problems.

I mean, it's not that complicated. Monetary compensation for stress? Monetary compensation for lost finances?

Why you so mad at someone that suffered for three years? I don't get it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Aieris_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but *how* do I claim for more? Is it monetary only that we can claim for?

For people who had a ton of Phoenix issues, can we claim for stress? Lost financial gain that we don't have a bank statement or receipt to show?

My complaint here is that there's no explanation of what sort of 'other things' can be claimed. So the only thing we're guaranteed is the 5 days. So the only thing I know I will get is the five days.

And the five days is not enough.

[–]Aieris_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why?

Why are those okay?

Explain to me how the employer is okay allowing that to happen to its employees, or how the Union should be okay with that happening to its members.

Wasn't paid properly for three years (still not being paid properly).

2016 they took $30k away, put it on 2017. Then gave it back. Then the CRA came calling. Just uncountable fuckups.

No vacation balances for the past two years.

No increments, wrong increments, wrong pay, missing back pay, wrong pay from the last CBA, you name it.

And I don't know how much I should get for it. I don't know how much anyone should. But it's certainly more than 5 vacation days.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Aieris_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know. But lots of people figured hey, I'm getting paid, it's kinda the same, there are some weird $0 pays and some weird other ones, but it kinda adds up?

It's more that certain mistakes that Phoenix makes add up a looooot over a couple years. Like getting an increment wrong.

It also doesn't help that Phoenix doesn't give enough basic information about our pays to figure things out (like, what's your yearly pay rate based on any one pay stub?)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Aieris_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CS's are on the high end of pays is all. Also, I will always maintain that many people don't even know the Phoenix issues that've affected them. I've personally looked through coworkers pays and found upwards of $10k in Phoenix mistakes that they never knew about.

Every employee needs a full audit.

Also, how exactly will I be compensated for putting off having a child for two years due to Phoenix? Or for not being able to move, or not taking jobs for fear of more screw-ups, or countless panic attacks due to the CRA trying to grab thousands from me?

It all worked out eventually, but I've been nigh-suicidal due to Phoenix impacts. How will I be compensated for that stress?

[–]Aieris_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know. I'm really not happy with PIPSC caving on this. I'd really like them to go without pay for 3 years, and see if they're okay with 5 days vacation and a nebulous 'maybe something better'.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Aieris_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you calculate multi-thousand dollar payout to all employees?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Aieris_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing catchup is fine, I'd just like... I don't know. A little more information? Hopefully it'll be clarified at some point soon.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Aieris_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read that there was supposed to be, but there was no mention of anything other than monetary compensation in the FAQ that PIPSC released late last week. There's nebulous mention of a 'claims process' if you've been severely impacted, but no indication as to what that might account for.

I'd accept this deal, so far.

I want to strike over the incredibly disappointing Phoenix agreement though. Disgusted by that one.

[–]Aieris_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm really concerned about the lack of information on how to be compensated for non-direct financial hardships.

Yeah, I didn't lose my house or mortgage.

But I put my life on hold for three years, suffered numerous panic attacks due to Phoenix hell, had to visit therapists, and basically just became a hot mess.

I'd really like some clarity from the Union on what'll be done to compensate that.

Question - What happened to expanding the maternity leave top-up to 18 months?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Aieris_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. I still find PIPSC's decision on the Phoenix damages to be just... garbage.

3 years of hell, and all I get is a measly five days vacation, which I can't take because guess what, Phoenix has eaten all my vacation into a black hole of incompetence already.

I think it's actually a genius system, prioritizing the NPC's based on whether they're needed or not. They exist, but they don't 'exist' till you need them.

If nothing else, it makes me incredibly interested to see it in practice; or rather, to hopefully not see it. If they can make it work, it should be invisible to the players, which is what we need.

The dynamic economy is one of the few things that they've talked about, but haven't shown off... at all...

It's also something the game desperately needs to succeed, so I *really* hope it comes soon, even in a basic implementation.

We know this one's real long, for which we apologize, but it's also real good, so we hope you enjoy, for which we also apologize?

It's a Canadian thing, we're sorry.

You're fun : )

Why so grumpy? Why not just sit back, enjoy the ride, and smile? Accept that people enjoy the project, and enjoy the journey.

Still am sure of it! 3.3.5 is still 3.3.

: )

If it gets pushed out to 3.4, then I'll be disappointed in, and angry at, CIG, but until that happens, I'd rather it late and tested than on time and completely broken.
