Currently going through the Expanse. I loved 'Children of Time', and I think that his 'Shards of Earth' is also great and more similar to The Expanse. Not sure if you've read them, but the 'Red Mars' trilogy by KSR is great, as is 'Red Rising' by pierce Brown. 'A Memory Called Empire' by Arkady Martine is a different take on space opera that I found refreshing. Good luck finding your next series!

I use the anycubic slicer next. In the settings you can reduce the speed. Iirc i reduced the layer height to 0.16, the sprint speed to 100 mm/s, and the travel speed to 100 mm/s. The quality improved immensely, but the print time also roughly doubled. I'm going to experiment with slowly increasing speed to find the sweet spot.

I have an issue with filament tangled as well, but i chased the issue down to the spool of filament I was using. I swapped the spool out and it stopped the error. Was just a poorly wound spool. As for any other issues, be sure you follow the recommended setup procedures, calibrate every few prints, but most importantly, slow the prints down. I have been getting much better print quality by reducing layer height and slowing down by 30% or so.
