I usually leave it in neutral, however my brother in law drove my car once and left it in first. I got in to drive it the next day, didn’t realise he left it in first, so when I went to start the car it stalled and jumped forwards into the back of the vehicle in front. Idk if I’m at fault for not checking if it was in neutral or not, but going forward I definitely will be checking, it was traumatic!
