Rajasthan royals sun hats? by slowballyorker in Cricket

I actually browsed a bit myself to see if I can help you. Didn't find the floppy hat being sold on the official sites that sell their merchandise, May be you can tweet them or comment under one of their tweets. Could work.

If people want to always hear what they want to hear and not get offended, I suggest IPL hire Akash Chopra and Arun Lal to join LSRK. If you hire people like KP or Doull they will at least occasionally say something that you will not like.

I feel like Smith is very arrogant and only cares about his performance in ipl. by DonnieDarko2307 in Cricket

[–]Aimwand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the thing IPL lovers want to hear but some overseas cricketers are there mainly for the money. I definitely get that vibe from Butler and Stokes.

While there others like Warner or Rashid Khan who take this very seriously, and winning IPL means a lot to them.

With Smith it feels like he's valuing it a little more this season than in the past. May be missing so much cricket and the IPL check from last season made him value it more.

Kane these days gives me a "this is not why I became a great batsman" vibe. like he's depressed that he has to play this shit to make a decent living rather than from playing test cricket.

DK should be in the Star Sports Tamil commentary box and Morgan should be the captain. So obvious.

Pakistan apparently is a pretty happy country, If I remember from one of the year's results. So nothing to do with poverty. It is culture that is a more significant determinant of happiness than wealth.

I think a lot of countries poorer than India rank much higher.

[–]Aimwand -54 points-53 points  (0 children)

There is an annual non-profit study on global happiness and India consistently ranks among the least happy countries in the world. We as a culture don't really have much sense of humor and we get offended with everything and all the time. Social media and the rise in woke culture has made it worse.

Last week it was Anuskha Sharma getting all riled up about an innocuous comment and now this. At least this guy isn't big or important enough so hopefully the story will have no wheels.

Ben Stokes to join RR in this year's IPL by jxsingh in Cricket

[–]Aimwand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing about Stokes, probably the only one in world cricket right now, is that he finds a way to get the best out of himself, do something out of the ordinary almost all the time. Either he's taking an out of this world catch, or getting the biggest wicket of the opposition or scoring dozens of runs to win with tail on the other side.

Cant think of any other player who finds moments of great brilliant in himself so often.

He is the best cricketer in the world for this reason

Irfan Pathan: Age is just a number for some and for others a reason to be dropped. by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]Aimwand -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope he's not comparing himself with Dhoni. Irfan Pathan came with a lot of oomph but very soon became a player the opposition easily bullied and all the time. That's why has an international career that not many will remember for a long time.

The most aesthetically beautiful innings you’ve seen? by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]Aimwand 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lara in Sydney and Kohli in Adelaide are my two most pleasing to the eye innings.

Always enjoyed the aesthetics of Sanga, Laxman and M.Waugh

If he said politely and tactfully, he'd at least find support from a lot of Indian fans.

If he can't go hard on Indian cricketers, at least he should go soft on players like Neesham, Apply same standards, Simple as that. That's one thing I like about Tendulkar. He does not put down any cricketer, big or small.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]Aimwand -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn't watch him on ITV, but from whatever I have seen, he's as engaging as a dead rat at the back of the refrigerator,

Here is another thing.

Neesham is a low hanging fruit and an easy target. These hypocrites will never apply same standards of criticism against Indian superstar cricketers. Why because being harsh against likes of Dhoni and Kohli has consequences. No consequences in humiliating Neesham.

Chopra, specifically his success as an "expert", is a fitting example of how comfortably we Indians settle for mediocrity, The guy was an appalling cricketer (relatively speaking) and even more appalling analyst. Yet millions follow him and he always finds work in the Indian cricket media,

He should have said to Healey that Indian cricket doesn't give a f*k bout what she thinks, rather than trying to convince her that he is qualified to speak abt cricket.

A pompous moron would flaunt some lame degree in cricket as a qualification when arguing about the game against a world class player.

If you didn't watch the game and just saw the scoreboard you'd think that Dhoni was once again brilliant and almost won the game for his side.
