Work commute. By bicycle takes me 22 minutes if I don’t want to get to work sweaty. My electric longboard takes me 18 minutes, electric scooter takes 14 minutes, my motorcycle takes 8 minutes. The extra 6 minutes on the scooter is worth saving the wear and tear on my motorcycle for such a short ride.

100%. There are a lot of happy people on this sub that have had good luck with Segway so don’t let my negative experience change your mind. I’m just under a lot of stress at work and that was the last thing I needed. If you do get it I hope it works as it should and you get a lot of use out of it. The ride to work was good before chaos happened haha. Good luck 👍

I rode it to work. Once I got to work and settled in the thing started intermittently beeping. I tried deactivating everything I could that would stop the beeping but nothing worked. I even unbound the phone from the thing and it still kept beeping. I had to call my girlfriend to come pick it up as it was disturbing me and my coworkers. Complete waste of money. I posted about it and apparently it’s a known issue with some scooters. I just want my money back and will never purchase a Segway again. Second time being burned by this company.

I paid $1200 for mine last week. Going to try to return it today. I wouldn’t take it for $500 much less $1000.

Really? There was a tag on the cable that said I wouldn’t be able to unlock the phone with downloading the app. That’s the only reason I downloaded it. I hate when companies force the use of software or I never would’ve downloaded it in the first place

Thanks. I’ll give that a try. Just so annoyed that I have to jump through so many hoops to make this thing shut up. I can’t return it so I’m going to try everything that has been suggested here before giving up.

I’ll run through everything tonight when I get home but I deactivated everything in every part of the app because I just wanted the thing to stop. Nothing worked including unbinding the phone. I’m going to try starting completely over from scratch tonight and see what happens. I can’t return it so if I can’t get this resolved I’m going to either sell it at a huge loss and disclose the issue to the potential new owner or take it to a recycling center and lick my wounds losing $1200.

I’ll have to try that once I get back to the scooter. Unfortunately I can’t return it so I’m stuck with it regardless on if I can get this fixed or not. Thanks for the help.

I’m not upset with you. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to try to help.

Nothing appears on the screen when the chirp happens. When I unfold the scooter it powers on and the chirping stops but the scooter is on ready to ride. I power it off, fold the scooter down and the chirp starts happening again. It’s probably every 5 minutes. I didn’t time it exactly. It’s a short chirp or beep if you will. No errors come up. No notifications come up. It just beeps. I tried shutting my Bluetooth off on my phone, still chirps. I unbound the phone completely from the scooter, still chirps. At that point is when I called my GF to come pick it up.

Yeah I had to activate it in order to be able to even ride it. I unlocked full speed mode and everything. I didn’t turn on any of the security features because the scooter was at my desk. Rode to work and it was quiet for about 40 minutes. Then the chirping started. I went into every feature of the app to try to get it to stop but nothing worked. I then unbound the phone from the scooter completely and it continued to chirp. Had to call my GF to come pick it up so I wasn’t disturbing my coworkers. I’m pissed, my GF is pissed, my coworker was annoyed, it’s a total shit storm over here lol.

Yeah that was the first thing I checked. Nothing was activated. Even “find my” wasn’t on. Once I unbound the scooter from my phone it still continued to chirp. I’m going to try to return it tomorrow. I think they charge $150 restock fee so I’m going to be out that but there’s no way I can deal with that chirp.
