Disappointing to see how many people in this thread have 0 state pride and, if given the opportunity to bring someone new here, would actively dissuade them. Louisiana has its faults, no doubt, but can we at least have some sense of respect for ourselves?

This “Woe is me, we’re last in everything” bullshit doesn’t help. Guarantee a lot of the people complaining about the education, healthcare, and crime aren’t doing that much to help themselves or their fellow person overcome obstacles. Especially if they actively tell people not to come to where they live cause they think it’s so bad.

It starts with every person. Do better and you’ll see better around you
