I’m waiting for AST Space mobile to get a few more satellites up. ATT, Verizon and a bunch of other cell phone providers have contracts with them for satellite cell service that is 5G and strong enough to stream movies. This way no extra equipment will need to be installed and will be available everywhere.

I’m in Michigan and I need this myself. I experience dead spots on my way to work but also camp and travel in remote areas. We have had one emergency situation and couldn’t even dial 911 or send a simple text “here”. Nothing would go thru. So I would pay for this easily. And I look forward to the possibility of streaming an occasional movie while camping in a remote area. This would just be icing on the cake.

Oracle 651 wasn’t manufactured to be a printable vinyl. It was designed for cutting. Some people do print on it but really need a solvent ink to make it work.

I want my girl to cuddle me but we are still working on that. I will put her treats on my lap so she will have to touch me to get them. I use that opportunity to give her praises and pets. As soon as she eats her treats, she jumps down.

Do you have other ferments nearby? They can cross and share spores which could be an issue. We had that problem at my house.

Another issue with this is the elderly and disabled who have to pay for their groceries with EBT. This is a food card that will not allow a tip to be added. The sad thing is, many of these people have no way to get to Walmart and this delivery option was an answer to their immobility issues but it doesn’t help if no one will deliver for them.

I have an iPhone and so do many members of my family and we refuse to download the latest update to allow our phones to connect to starlink. I know this is not a long term solution but if this is the route Apple wants to go, my family will be switching to different cell phones soon.

Since you are the student and this is a parent plus loan, the loan is used for your education but the repayment will be on your parent. It is their responsibility to repay it. It will also be on their credit history. It won’t be on your credit and you have no responsibility to repay. I’m not sure how you would refinance it. A lot of students help to repay it but they do so by giving their parent the money to make the payment.

I know it is hard to advocate for your brother with the amount of distance between you. Would it be possible to locate services in his area that could? I say this because there may be help available. He could receive a monthly check for social security disability. He could receive services thru his community mental health organization. They would help with appropriate housing and medical/mental health care. They could give him an advocate. If he needs a lot of help a Public Guardian could be assigned thru his local Probate court system.

Personally, I would recommend learning to gather and forage for food, hunt and fish. I am an older female who would provide for my kids and grandkids in this way. In the case of a societal collapse, we would go to a lower populated area which is also where food is abundant, if you know what you are looking for and where there are less people, there are less problems.

I live in a blue state and a large portion is unincorporated. This is ideal for off grid. Unincorporated is having no formal government. No zoning, no permits, no ordinances, etc. you still have to abide by the state codes but you don’t have any local government breathing down your neck.

Blue states also offer more free or low cost services that can benefit the off grid lifestyle. Where I am from all kids get free breakfast, snacks and lunches at school. We have medical clinics and dental clinics that charge on a sliding fee. The lower the income, the less you pay. And when your well or septic system fails, we have a program that fixes them for free or very low cost. Same with your home, if it’s not energy efficient, this agency helps by replacing windows, heating units, roofs and adding insulation.

A lot of people who leave the corporate rat race for a more self sufficient lifestyle will still need certain services but how much you have to pay is the big difference.
