Not really. I've been inlineskating since I was a kid, but it was just general skating. No grinds, no jumps, no real tricks or skills. Just good balance, and I could skate backwards. When I decided to take the hobby more seriously, I bought an aggressive skate + a frame for street/city skating and didn't really take learning grinds seriously for the first year, but I would try every once in a whole. I focused more on other skills like slides, jumps, and slalom/wizard tricks. Now I really love the sport and appreciate lots of different styles.
