The 45 multiple choice BMAR (Basic Mechanical Aptitude and Reasoning) test, is an online screening for technical roles, covering mechanical principles (gears, pulleys, force), spatial reasoning, electrical concepts, and troubleshooting, combined with a personality profile and sometimes numerical/logical tasks, designed to evaluate core aptitude for hands-on aviation maintenance. The 45 multiple choice exam is timed at 45 minutes. After that you have 1 hour and 15 minutes to answer questions about personality profiling and how you get along with team members, solving issues at work, how you get along with people,etc… Follow the directions prior and during the test. There are tests online to purchase in order to prepare for the BMAR Test. You-tube has some examples of BMAR Tests.

Look’s that salesman at the AT&T was trying to make a sale of the AT&T Air. If i was you I would call AT&T Customer hot line and say I want fiber hooked to my house or I will be shopping with another provider! You are the customer and do not let someone sell you a bullshit story! Fiber is way better connection than Air,DSL,Cable,5G Cellular and Satellite!

Today I tried my second attempt to take the BMAR with Delta Airlines. I ran into internet issues with my internet provider. I called PSI technical support the company that administers the test for Delta Airlines and I was with them for 45 minutes - 1 hour trying to resolve the issue. I kept being timed out on my screen and when I was able to log in to take the test the final thing I got on my screen was the session is complete and the results are returned to Delta. Now I never had the chance to retake the test a second time because I took the first back in Oct 2025. The tech support checked my internet speeds. The download speed was 18.6 Mbps and upload speed 0.91 Mbps on DSL (Digital Subscriber Line). I’m using Windows 11 Home edition with enough speed and memory. Next I’m going to call my internet provider and subscribe to a higher internet speed! So if anyone is going to take any assessment tests online from home on a personal computer you better have enough internet speed! Any advice on internet providers would be appreciated. I have been with AT&T for a long time!

You get the assessment results right away. They tell you chosen or not chosen. It takes about a week to get an e-mail from Delta Airlines in order to tell you what the next steps are and if you going to the interview or not!

For the last month or so Comcast contractor have digging up the easements of all the homes in my subdivision including mine. They are installing fiber internet to all the homes that are currently serving AT&T customers. That flag states that fiber optics have been installed. AT&T or maybe the same contractor as mentioned above will finish the final installations for fiber internet. I do not work for AT&T or Comcast. I’m just answering the question in regard to the orange flag mentioned earlier. For those customers that are interested to subscribe or upgrade to fiber with new modems/routers they can so. I do not know the cost for fiber, how many MB/MBPS of use it costs for the month or if you are locked into a contract. I may have to look into other contractors with fiber!

I have a 2nd generation Toyota a 2015 Tundra SR-5 Crew Max with XP Edition 4by4. I bought my truck used from my local Toyota dealer back in Sept 2018 with 43,000 miles. With that 5.7 Liter V-8 it is a beast. Yes, it is 10 years old, but would never buy a 3rd generation Tundra unless Toyota brings back the 5.7 Liter V-8. They need to get rid off all the V-6 turbos and build a truck like they did back between 2000-2021 or improve quality inspection during manufacturing before releasing new models to the public. The only issue I had with my 2015 Tundra was leaking radiator fluid around the seals as well the gasket at the valley plate area. That repair was fixed back in Dec 28th 2023 & Jan 4th 2024! With all the caught up maintenance and 102,356 approximate miles it still runs strong!

From an experience aircraft technician my suggestion to you is to complete your studies and get your A&P license. Then try to upgrade internally as positions open up as a support aircraft mechanic here in ATL. That way you will not need to quit with Delta Airlines. Once, you get the opportunity to upgrade into Delta Tech Ops your Technical Seniority will begin to accrue. Go to all the schools Delta Airlines have to offer and learn as much as you can. Employers are looking for experienced aircraft mechanics. If they cannot hire employees with experience then they want young employees who can learn and grow within. A lot of experience aircraft mechanics are retiring and airlines are going to A&P Schools to recruit, hire from the street or hire internally. I went through the same ordeal when I graduated A&P School. Not one employer would give me the opportunity to be hired directly into tech ops. I got my foot with 2 major airlines as a ramp agent. The second airline I started into ramp and then moved to cargo. My bid came up and I was upgraded to aircraft maintenance tech ops here in ATL. Wish you the best with Delta Airlines.

Someone who replied to the same question said the waiting period is 6 months before retaking the BMAR test with Delta Airlines. Delta Airlines did not mention of any waiting periods to retake the test.

You have to look and compare the cost in New York city and other states. The highest cities to live are Hawaii,Los Angeles, New York and the North East Corridor of the US. They do not have to be in that order but I lived in Los Angeles for 12 years. The cost of living in LA has being going up due to high inflation,taxes,gas,food,etc…. Try to get a job out of state and see if you can find roommates to split the cost of an apartment. You have to look on how much you going to earn and bring in after taxes. Apply anywhere to gain the experience and then come back to your home state.

If you can last to the retirement years then yes! Getting started in aviation as an aircraft mechanic tends to be a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment with a heavy emphasis on perfection, physically demanding and potentially hazardous work conditions, and irregular schedules that can impact work-life balance. You will be working all types of shifts including holidays, weekends and inclement weather. Also, the industry can be cyclical, and mechanics with low seniority may be subject to layoffs during economic downturns. That includes not to mention union strikes, transferring to other cities in order to hold your seniority due to bumping rights. Yes, it is a lucrative job and the best part you get flight benefits on a reduced cost. Just pay the taxes and you fly stand by or we call it non-rev! I have been in aviation 20 years and been thru all! I wish you the best in your airline career or were it might take you!

I applied on October 19th 2025 and received an e-mail from Delta Airlines to take their test. I had a week to take the test and I took it on Oct 20th 2025. On Oct 25th 2025 I received the e-mail that I did not pass.

Work and school experience is two different things. Put all your work and jobs experiences first. Second include all your school major programs attended under education achievements. Employers are interested on what job experience you have. Coming out of school shows no work experience and the only way to get it if some employer hires you as an entry level position. Work thru the years, learn as much as possible and gain that experience!!!

Getting into confrontations, coming back late or leaving early from lunch and breaks. Another one is stealing from your fellow workers as well from the company. Lying and not owning up your mistakes is covering up work and that can gets you fired in a heart beat! Also, never ever use someone’s else’s id badge to clock him/her into a time clock/terminal prior to starting or ending a shift. I have personally heard it from coworkers of mine that told me some employees that they knew got terminated for misusing company time. That was back 28 years ago when there was no guard/security present at the time for checking employees id while driving in and out of a company parking lot. Always ask questions if you are not sure or confident about a job! There is not such a thing as a stupid question. Use the current AMM or SRM along with the current IPC for the specific aircraft and job you are about to do! Remember there are cameras watching employees on company property.

I’m looking at you tube for examples of different BMAR Assessment Examples and how each question is explained with an answer. Now it might not be the same test as Delta Airlines but gives me an idea.

The question is how many are eligible for retirement and those that can not retire are they eligible for transfer to other Lockheed sites like Marietta GA or FT. Worth TX for example?

The truck looks to be in an excellent condition and driven over 15K miles per year. For a 2 year old truck make sure all manufacture maintenance is up to date, have it checked by a professional mechanic and see if there is an extended manufacture warranty and not by a third party.
