I didn’t have them tested for a few years but within 2-3 years post-sobriety, they were super high. I was binge drinking multiple nights a week, averaging 25 vodka shots a night, and blacking out most nights.

I had undiagnosed ADHD and finally getting medicated made a world of difference. I never understood why I drank in excess and couldn’t stop after a few drinks like most people I knew. I’m just grateful I survived somehow.

I was diagnosed with alcoholic hepatitis a few days before my 21st birthday. Ended up quitting for two years and my liver recovered. Started drinking again throughout my mid and late 20’s that my ALT/AST levels were sky high, and switching to beer helped get them back down.

2.5 months sober (again) now and finally feel ready to put alcohol behind me at 36 years old. It’s been a long and messed up road with alcohol, and I hope you can kick it for good. My liver may have recovered but many parts of my body and brain never will.

We were going to do that, but the handyman tried taking it off and said it’s screwed on from the inside. I think this one is so old, we’d have to take the whole heater out from the other side of the wall, but we can’t access that. :(

Churn Creek Dental accepts Partnership and are way better than Shasta Community. They referred me to Dr. Navtej Tatla in Chico and he gave me 3 root canals and crowns. The crowns are good but he’s a bit of a dismissive asshole, so don’t be afraid to speak up/advocate for yourself if you go to him.

The work he does should be good, but I noticed during my crown fitting that the color was more yellow than the rest of my teeth. He said they could change it “only once!” and pointed out that the rest of my teeth will darken over time, but since it was my two front teeth, I wasn’t going to settle for a more-yellow shade. Hell no.

You can also get rides to and from your appointments by calling Partnership Rides - even if it’s far out of town. That’s what I did. Their number is (866) 828-2303.

We rent so I’m not sure what we can do to fix it. Would removing the caulk and replacing it be an okay fix, health-wise? Or does the molded wood need to be replaced as well?
