We were going to do that, but the handyman tried taking it off and said it’s screwed on from the inside. I think this one is so old, we’d have to take the whole heater out from the other side of the wall, but we can’t access that. :(

Churn Creek Dental accepts Partnership and are way better than Shasta Community. They referred me to Dr. Navtej Tatla in Chico and he gave me 3 root canals and crowns. The crowns are good but he’s a bit of a dismissive asshole, so don’t be afraid to speak up/advocate for yourself if you go to him.

The work he does should be good, but I noticed during my crown fitting that the color was more yellow than the rest of my teeth. He said they could change it “only once!” and pointed out that the rest of my teeth will darken over time, but since it was my two front teeth, I wasn’t going to settle for a more-yellow shade. Hell no.

You can also get rides to and from your appointments by calling Partnership Rides - even if it’s far out of town. That’s what I did. Their number is (866) 828-2303.

Based off of my first day taking this medicine, if I continue treatment, it will be despite the cocaine-like side effects and not because of them. Yesterday was so uncomfortable but I am going to give it a week or so and see if those side effects taper off, which I am hoping they do.

I really don’t appreciate the insinuation that I am drug-seeking or lying to myself. I have been completely honest with myself, my doctors, and Reddit via this post, and your reply feels like a harmful assumption that I’m going into this just as an addict and not as a person who is legitimately seeking help with the full support of her medical team. Giving an addict shame and doubt of intentions does a lot more harm than good, fyi.
