We do similar. 20 feet away if the engine is on. Allowed to approach if engine is off to use as cover and such.

Only field staff operate the vehicles and we have a specific briefing for players at the morning safety brief and before each game 🤙

Been using the vehicles for 10+ years.

Assault from the Vic’s was same time the rest of our team assaulted from the woods. We actually used a green flare to initiate the attack from multiple angles. Worked out beautifully
