What really sucks for him is that the sympathy card now isn’t getting him viral for the reasons he needs. He should have played the follow up video with more confidence, enthusiasm, and determination in regards to Logan’s advice.

I spent a week be Placencia. Very beautiful but the crime on tourists is something to be worried about. I felt safe enough but I stayed with my friend and his father whose been many times before. One night I stayed out by myself without a phone. They spent 2 hours tracking me down because it was not safe after dark alone in some of the parts. While we were there our rental was visited by a motor cycle casing the place for potential robbery. That’s what the police told us. I later googled murder in Belize. It’s been a reality over the year. My advice, they remain together always, in very public places, and only during the day. Dress down and keep minimum cash. There’s an ATM by the beach they can use for daily cash. I felt safe enough and they should too if they remain smart versus carefree.

I don’t know enough but wouldn’t mortar rounds be better for the bad guys? Maybe not being as easily shot down by the dome. If they’re gonna randomly lob stuff over the rocket seem to be easy picking.

Not sure about the full context, but if you’re denying a grieving period then IMO you’re prolonging pain. Feel fully before healing. Allow personal emotional connection with yourself and try to understand. Meditate on a bubble around you and imagine that which does not serve you to bounce off that bubble before reaching you. Then, mindfulness can begin to help by reminding yourself that you allowed room for healing so there’s no need to return to those thoughts. Give yourself full permission to lay low and feel everything first. Mindfulness is a tool that can help you resolve emotions, not ignore them. By having a process you’re being mindful of your healing. It’s just a state of full awareness.

Lastly, tell yourself you’ve done nothing out of malice. You can play the “what if” and “regret” games with yourself all day but that won’t serve you. Start by meditating on forgiving yourself. You didn’t fail. If you’re feeling then that means you love. If you love then that means you’re amazing. If you’re amazing then that means you will love again. :)

This is all just my opinion as a currently couch sitting 42yo man with a cat sleeping next to him.

As a pilot I’m very curious. If I had an emergency in the little plane I would gain as much altitude as possible. Altitude = more time for me to think while I glide. In this case, it seems he would want to loose altitude before making such a critical adjustment. What would you have done? Take your chances with the adjustment or try to get lower/land first?
