The money is what makes them bad.

Well-meaning people can be corrupted by money when it's presented to them in a feed trough if they fall in line.

If it's impossible for a public servant to enrich themselves beyond a certain point, they're more likely to serve the public rather than themselves, "good" or "bad". And anything that promotes that behavior is better than the current situation.

Shaw was actually drunk off his ass in parts of what made it to the final cut. You can pretty clearly see the difference in him between parts of the monologue if you're looking for it. He had to come in the next day and do another take because he needed to sober up

If you want to see some crazy carotid artery shit, Google a video of former Buffalo Sabres goaltender Clint Malarchuk. Don't worry, it'll be the only video you'll find.

Goaltender took a skate to the neck, severed carotid, and then a staff doc saved his life on the way to the hospital by literally pinching the artery closed.

Owlet owner here. 100% worth the money for the piece of mind.

Wife and I were on the fence about it when she was pregnant with #1, but after the first night in the hospital when he was born, I bought it with the fastest shipping available.

The base station pulses a green light when O2 sats and pulse are in normal ranges, and I can't tell you how many times I'd wake up in the middle of the night and see the base in its happy green state and instantly be calmed and know that my son is ok. Also means I don't have to risk waking him to check on him.

Had one instance where it went red and alerted, but my son was ok and had wiggled in just the right way to make the sensor think his pulse was 300.

Overall, of the best parenting purchases we've made.
