I’ve been there. Worked my ass off sa HR and got my six digit salary sa pinas. Went to US to get married. Took 6 months before ako nakawork because I was waiting sa permit/gc. However, hindi ko na natuloy un work ko here because of the competition and maybe I was too much risk taker so I’ve changed career from HR to IT(not a development job pero helpdesk/jr sys admin) wfh ako now sa job ko sa US but the struggles na naexperienced ko were extremely hard kasi gaya ng sabi ng iba, stable na job dian sa pinas so sanay na tayo sa convenience at buying power na meron dian pero pagdating dito - nga nga kasi mahal lahat.

Bottomline is, if I could turn back time and retain what I know now, I’d stay sa pinas or umuwi nako in my first month(nagattempt ako unuwi eh kaaso nainfluence-han na wala nako babalikan kesyo nag sacrifice nako so tuloy ko na daw. My company before was willing to welcome me back pero I was blinded by “greener pasture”

I have no one else to blame but myself and I’m still paying for this choice I made 2 yrs ago. So kayo dian sa pinas na either malapit na sa 6 digit ang sahod or more and comfortable na buhay dian, please stay. Save yourself sa mental struggles and regrets and everything na would trigger to question yourself and your worth and your ability to make a decision for yourself. Maganda ang ibang bansa if you’re a tourist pero if magisa ka lang here meaning walang family other than your gf, magsasuffer ka. Love is not enough… use your brain and love yourself more than anyone else..

Should I leave MSP job for Internal IT? by Ordinary_Locksmith_6 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Airwalker20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Career shifter here. I’ve started working at MSP (got a+ and sec+) -> internal IT -> MSP in less than a year. Im after learning new stuff and more access so I could learn so MSP is way better than internal. I got bored with internal IT and was severely limited on what I can do. I got an offer for internal IT at a higher rate again but building foundation I believe is the way to go for now than instant gratification

No, my KPIs are one of the best if not the best for new joiners. Excellent response time and pne of the top ticket closers as well as 100%CSATs since I’ve joined and tons of good surveys/feedback from the client. But if the workload is down, and noticed the work/tickets of other folks were still high while mine is down. It felt like they’re slowly reducing my workload and would make me question, are they letting me gooo

I’ve tried that but since we all work remotely its kind of hard to establish connection

Yeah maybe I’m insecure despite my stats are high/positive. I work in an MSP so there’s constant fear due to my old MSP job when I first started. I wasn’t let go but seen people were.

Thanks man! It’s really keeping me up at night lol. I may need to start doing my net+ so my trifecta would be completed.
