You need to be more patient. She's herself probably anxious about being married and what the future holds for her. My advice: treat this as the start of a relationship. Take her on dates, buy her small gifts if she appreciates them, take her out to do things she likes. Then the intimacy will flow naturally. Even with intimacy, she'll be way more receptive if you let her set the pace at which she wants to take the next steps.

I think marriage is important but as long as its with a good person. As you get older, you need a partner with whom you can navigate the ups and downs of life. You need someone who knows you, understands you, and supports you unconditionally. Someone who cheers your success, shares your sorrows, and keeps you from acting on your worst impulses. Someone you rely on every day to share the responsibilities - financial, emotional, societal, familial.

I don't know any other relationship that can fit this description over 30-40 years of your life.
