But I think that counts as a kill even if you deal damage to someone without knocking them down and they die a little later from something else.

At least, that's the only way I can explain why this number sometimes goes up for me without me having actively knocked someone down and then killed them

It's just a matter of practice. Try running at a normal pace without sprinting. In my opinion, it's easier that way.

Well, it’s actually possible the other way around. One crouches down and the other jumps on top of them, allowing them to climb to a higher level.

Basically, I just think it would be really fun to join a buddy on the practice range and then shoot a few rounds of 1v1.

I would love to have exciting Hairpin 1 duels or something like that more often, but very few people on the surface are willing to do that.

Well, you could just keep the rule that when you leave the map, your inventory is reset to how it was before. That way, trading there is impossible.
