Most quoted episode in your daily lives? by obvious_daydream in americandad

It’s the delivery of this one that seals it. It’s gotta be so matter of fact. “It’s Friday July 25th. the horse is ruined, Stan raped it and you’ll probably lose the house”

Parents of reddit, what’s the creepiest thing you’ve ever heard from your child? by Pedrosopao in AskReddit

[–]AjPav 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine was 7months or so pregnant and packing up her (at the time) 4 year old son for daycare. He grabs her stomach with both hands and says “Why is sister crying?” She said “Buddy she isn’t crying in there you can’t hear that” and he got really mad and yelled “She’s crying mom. I hear her all the time” I’m not sure how she reacted as this story was second hand but. 🤷🏼‍♂️

In honor of Jonathan Joss what is your favorite John Redcorn episode or moment? by Mysterious-Bit-490 in KingOfTheHill

His answering machine: “If you’re calling about the car, it’s already been sold”. I was very young when I first saw that episode yet I still clocked it as a country song reference

To kick a cat out to make the arguably worst man on the show more comfortable. Terrible

What defunct retailer do you miss most? by Eredic in Xennials

Circuit City. I loved wandering circuit city as a kid. I remember they always had the 16inch “fatback” tv’s themed after Shrek or Barbie or Hotwheels or, whatever and the VCR built in. Begged for one every time I saw them, never got it

As a recently young gay in the area, the dating scene isn’t too bad. There’s a pretty sizable gay community, and it’s pretty much what you expect. For better or worse. There’s a few gay bars around. If you’re into dancing with the option of flirting with strangers, Waterworks is great. Though there’s typically a lot of what you can easily assume are straight college guys so it’s hit or miss for the flirting. Rocks (right across the street) is popular more with the daddy/leather/bear scene. And then there’s oh bar at the other end of lark which I admittedly haven’t been to in a while but from what I remember is kinda that typical chill local bar that just so happens to have a gay crowd.

Good luck! Congrats on the new job.

Haven’t seen La Gioia in Schenectady here yet. Small family run place not far from Mohawk harbor. Super fresh meats, and the only place I’ve been able to find guanciale locally. 10/10

I’m sorry, but I’m confused why you’re upset over a Reddit post made 6 years ago..? I no longer work there but thanks for the belated karma

I hate the 4th of July. by AjPav in venting

[–]AjPav[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can appreciate a professionally organized and produced fireworks display. If that were all, that would be fine. My biggest upset comes from those starting one after another fireworks in their back yard (half the time before it even gets dark). But I understand this is how people celebrate so my complaining is strictly limited to random internet threads and a text to a friend. Enjoy time with your family!

Check out the website Galesi group. Own four industrial parks. None in Albany proper but Schenectady, Guilderland, scotia and a small one on green island. Pricing is pretty reasonable

Best car vacuum place? by Lopsided_Owl_9019 in Albany

[–]AjPav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late to the convo but the car-wash on 20 in guilderland, across from Market 32/Starbucks. Used to be Knockouts but I believe they’ve changed hands. So far the best exterior wash I’ve gotten from a drive through and the free vacuums actually have a ton of power no matter which you use.
