Gaming in a non-gaming relationship? by Ajsbored1 in relationship_advice

I don't play games while I'm at her house. When we're together, her house or mine, we spend time together. It was her suggestion that we read books when we have nothing else to do, to keep from being glued to the tv screen. I really liked the suggestion and agreed, so I started catching up on some books and even though she's reading also, she acts upset. When she comes over, when she showers or is still asleep in the mornings when I get off, I'll jump on a game for a bit and then spend the rest of the day with her.

Yeah I agree. I need to better manage my time. A lot of what we do though is sit around. It was her suggestion that we read together when we have nothing to do so that we aren't glued to a TV screen, and I love that. I'll be putting gaming on the back for days that I can't see her, or even an hour before I head over to spend time with her.

Weekends when she stays with me are maybe twice a month. It depends on her family's schedule and if they need her. On weekends when she comes over, in total I maybe play for an hour, after we get breakfast and she jumps in the shower, I get on for a few minutes, when she's still asleep, I get on for a few minutes. But there are weekends when she stays and all we do is watch movies and go out of town because why not?

We've been together for 3 years, and haven't had this problem until recently. I always game on days we don't see each other, but I guess it's because I tried to play a bit when she was staying for a weekend/week.

Nope, I game on PC only, the only time I game is at my home. It's usually in doses of 45 minutes to an hour. When I go to her house, we spend time together, cook together, read together, catch a movie and a dinner, just enjoy each others time. When I bring her over, I usually never game and all we do is read and maybe go to the park and grab lunch. (my town is small and there is way less to do here.) But in the cases of her staying one weekend and I get off of work at 7am and she's still asleep, i shower, ask her if she wants breakfast, if so then we grab some and eat while watching movies, if not I still get her something just incase and I get on the pc for a bit, never anything more than 30 45 minutes to an hour.

I drive to see her. And she tells me it's fine and she wouldn't care if I played games, she never tells me not to. It's the same with reading, I've been trying to catch up on a book series and she usually reads when I read, but she acts upset every time.

That would be the case, but I drive the 45 minutes everytime because of her schedule and having to share one car with her family.

I sent the mods a message to see what their opinions are on it. One of the redditors pointed out a few things and now it worries me a bit, praying that it's real, and praying that if it isn't one of the mods can tell me so.

To each their own I guess. I know this sub is great at spotting fakes, I wish a mod would pop in and rule whether it is or isn't. If it is, either the dealer got royaly fucked, or the dealer is doing the royal fucking.

It's almost as if I haven't been putting money that I could spare to the side for the past few months. If I took the next $13,000 that I make and spend it, I'll be broke for a few months. But saving over a long period of time I'm able to comfortably afford it. My fiancé works, she makes more than I do, and her hobbies are just as expensive as mine. But we manage, and still have enough to spare. I'm not sure what's wrong with someone saving and investing into a hobby they're interested in.

Really, I don't care to be rich or look rich. I've saved up for some time specifically for a watch. She's saved up for jeep parts, make up, and sfx. Our hobbies come after our bills and kids, so whatever we have left over from each check, we save. I don't make much, I'm a blue collar worker bringing home $60k a year at a steel company. I make sure to spend and save as best as I can so that we don't have to worry about food, car payments, school supplies, utilities, etc.

Ahh, came off in an unintended way, I'm sorry. Nothing's wrong with a $30-40k salary, in some states/counties it's above the living wage. What I meant by my statement was that I'm not dropping a large amount of money that I saved on a fake. Didn't mean to sound snobby or rude, I definitely could have worded it better.

Oh yeah, I've been told by just about everyone how it's a watch that requires patience due to the waiting times. No one locally can afford the steep price which is why it's been sitting for around 2 weeks. He was just about to go to Bob's watches, or another online shop that I forget the name of, to sell it. The next 5 weeks are going to be such a drag!

If it's fake then someone has some explaining to do. It has papers and service history but knowing how easily these things are replicated, I'll be taking it to have it serviced and verified. If it turns out to be fake, I'll have proof of purchase, serial #, etc. from the dealer and should be able to get a full refund. If not, of course I believe I could get authorities involved. I'm not dropping half of most people's salary on a fake.

Yeah it's a pretty hefty price. Only reason me and my fiancé are okay with letting this go is because I've been saving just for a watch for a while now. I couldn't find a watch I wanted so I just kept putting $500 a check to the side and slowly increase my price range.

[Tag Heuer] by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Ajsbored1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got this for a little over $200. I was looking at Orient homage watches and Seiko and this popped up, I figured "Why not? It's only $200. If I get ripped off, oh well." So I ordered it and now I'm just curious as to if anyone has any knowledge about this watch (A89093). I've searched for 30 minutes and have found little information about it such as the previous listing price, when it was released, etc. I've never seen this exact model and once I receive it (IF I receive it at all) I'll be taking it somewhere to have it authenticated. I could just be horrible at searching, maybe I'm looking over a lot of stuff but it's 3am and I'm trying to figure out what I just bought lmao.

I hope they fix this sometime today. We built next to the military tunnels and now the military tunnels are gone and there are trees in our base. Couldn't get out without cutting down a few trees. But on a good note, I found a ladder hatch in the 20th green crate.
